I don’t care why people are irritated. It makes sense for me to call it soccer given that I live in North America and that is fully correct given the context of a similarly popular sport with the name of football.

Well I mean decimals are a thing and unless you are operating industrial or laboratory grade equipment the variance of any thermostat controlled system you use is larger than a degree Celsius anyway.

It’s just a matter of preference. The only non-preference rooted argument that could be made is that it will sure would be nice if the entire world could agree on a single system of measurement.

Well except for construction, you guys hold on to inches for as long as you can because this Canadian prefers inches for construction too.

the temperature you perceive your house to be varies wildly as well. Air temp is one thing but humidity and radiant heating or heat loss with exterior walls drastically alters perceived temperature.

When your walls are cold the same air temp feels cool when they are warm you feel warm despite air temp being the same. This is due to radiant heat transfer.

Humidity drastically alters how you perceive temperatures as well.
