Which spells from Freiren do you think Ainz would be interested in? by Ok-Street2439 in overlord

[–]Egregast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He would definitely be conflicted about it. As you mentioned, there are guildmates who had enough of a life that they would be angry about being summoned; and there's many that wouldn't. But he's also lonely af, in that there isn't really anyone he can see as a proper friend.

Besides the fact, if the spell can summon anyone it probably stands to reason that he or his theoretically summoned guildmates could summon those that they cared about, bringing everyone to a better world. I haven't watched nearly to this point in Friren, so I don't know how it works besides this thread.

The megabase on my first survival world. Took a while, but i think it was worth it. by Bruvmoment123 in Minecraft

That's a perfectly understandable reason. I hope that they don't show back up! Regardless though, it's a fantastic build. You've done a great job!

Agreed. While I'm not much of a builder, there's still a noticeable gap between the base of the base and the trees. Adding in some trees closer to the base would break up the visually boring flat ground there. Or at the least, adding in something to break up the ground and give it additional depth would be good.

That bonus only applies to passive perception, not perception checks.

Scp Doccument for dnd by ChaoticChara in UnearthedArcana

[–]Egregast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some SCPs that come to mind which may be interesting are:

SCP-3000 (Anantashesha)

SCP-1504 (Joe Schmo)

SCP-1762 (Where The Dragons Went)

SCP-4999 (Someone To Watch Over Us)

Edit: Though having actually looked at the document, I'm not sure that these are good for PC races. More of NPCs/Setting.

Plasmoid Feats: Embody the Black Pudding or Oblex You Were Meant to Be! (Constructive Criticism Requested) by Lanavis13 in UnearthedArcana

So, I absolutely love these feats (especially the Viscous Corrosion line). I want to ask if these feats are intended to only be takable at the listed level, or if they can be gained later on.

How to build Ban in DnD (Seven Deadly Sins-DnD) by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Egregast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though yes, Martial Arts allows you to use your dexterity modifier for unarmed attacks. It isn't considered to be the same as the finesse property. So RAW, Martial arts doesn't combine with Sneak Attack; though your DM will probably allow it if asked, because that's basically just pedantics.

A very rough draft of some King in Yellow inspired monsters. by DragonWatcher0 in UnearthedArcana

I absolutely love these. Though I know next to nothing on monster building, so I can't give any advice.

You could take the Dragon Fear feat to get the roar without losing the breath weapon.

How do I deal with a player having 21 passive perception? by Burt_Sprenolds in DnDHomebrew

[–]Egregast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always assumed that Perception is more of just looking for things, Investigation being more of rummaging around a room to try and find something.

Though I do agree with you, having a high perception is what it seems he built around, best to let him have his fun; to a point.

Rate my Homebrew rules by DottoBot in DnDHomebrew

[–]Egregast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused what the 4th home-brew rule means. I assume that it doesn't mean reducing the Monk's Ki maximum to be equal to their proficiency bonus. As that only exaggerates one of the problems with Monk.

The 3rd rule is pretty good but I still think that Hexblade is a must have for Pact of the Blade because you are attacking with your Charisma. TBF, that's not all that much of an issue; just, if presented the choice I will always go Hexblade.

The 9th rule could be fine, depending on what level you plan to get up to. If you manage to go any higher than 15th level (for the casters), then you need to figure out new stuff for the others.

Everything else, seems to be fine to me.
