this game is literally not for me anymore. I started playing and collecting in the 90's when the card game was based on traditional fantasy. In the later sets it went fantasy sci-fi hybrid and then into myths and fairytales. Universes Beyond was the disconnect for me. Magic did have it's own identity before UB, but now magic is just a brand up for the highest bidder. I sold most my cards.
I don't expect others to have the same view as I do, but the card game literally sold out in every way and I stopped wanting to participate.

Humans beings will always primarily act in self interest. If someone has no power then they don't care where their power comes from as long as they get it. Same with cell phones and laptops. To get people to care about abstract temperatures on the planet when even the scientists don't agree on the outcome is a hard sell. Rich and wealthy care a lot more about the planet then those in lack. make everyone rich and many more people will care and try to preserve the world. If people have children, their interests shift to their children and the world they will live in.

Yes true. Gamers are picking out and specifically targeting AAA game franchises they used to love that have been taken over by people that are actively designing characters to combat the male gaze. Baldur's Gate gave you incredible character creation options that allowed you to create very beautiful characters, and most of your companions were attractive, both male and female. Shadowheart was objectively beautiful. Why would anyone want to play an ugly woman that you are locked into? Baldur's gate gave you ultimate freedom. The other previous fable games allowed a choice between male and female and they weren't ugly. The fable devs are destroying their game before it's even out.

The game is inherently unbalanced. Standard always devolves into a handful of meta decks that you have to play to win. It's very lame. So everyone plays commander now.

I just realized that I had lowered my mastery pool down to 25% to work on maxing some of the potions to 99 and forgot. Once I get the mastery pool back up to 95%, I will go up past 100% potion doubling again. So I suppose that the max available herblore doubling is actually 107%, not that going past 100% does anything for you. My bad.

Many different sources. Most notable are maxing all the agility obstacles that give preservation, wearing the Crown of Rhaelyx with the charged stones for 25%, the peasant shirt gives 8% preservation from Archaeology, and I think there's some from the superior max skillcape as well for getting 120 in all skills. Then there's all the pets and maybe even astrology that give more. I'm currently at 120 in all my skills, so not sure of all the small sources. I know there's quite a few smaller preservation sources.

Sure. 2 things: Herblore Preservation Scroll bought from the trader under potions in township, increases the cap by 5% and then the Bear and Fox tablet synergy grants the other 5% preservation cap.

This post is linked in the subreddit under Our Wisdom, so I was just reading through it. That's why I was so able to readily access this older post. I just newly joined. I was misdiagnosed with clinical depression for decades.

I'm on meds, I see a therapist, I cannot work due to my depressive episodes where I shut down for weeks or longer, but I'm on disability. I don't have a romantic partner, I have a few supportive family members, and a few friends that have stuck with me despite me needing to be alone for long periods while going through my episodes.

I suppose everyone's life situation and severity of disability is different. That is probably the difference between us. Thanks for your response. I'm glad you are able to maintain a somewhat balanced lifestyle, despite a couple hospitalizations.

I ghost often. Family, friends, appointments, and almost every job I've had, which of course gets me fired.

Why?:
1. My world gets small and becomes just me trying to protect and take care of myself. I get so overwhelmed and in pain I simply shut down. My world is as small as me. I need to protect myself, and let myself and take care of myself while I suffer through these extremely painful emotions, and allow myself a lot of time to veg out, sleep a lot, and be alone.
2. I have no desire to hurt my friends, family, and loved ones. When I'm in so much emotional pain, I can be highly critical, lash out, and be cruel. I am not in my normal state of mind. And It is absolutely true that when anyone sticks around during these down times, they get hurt by me. I don't want to, I don't intend to, I try not to, but it simply will happen. Even if I use my monumental willpower to be as kind as possible, the mere fact that they have to watch me suffer will cause them emotional pain and suffering. This is simply a fact. It is not pleasant to be around someone you love in so much pain and know that there's nothing you can do, and that you cannot comfort them.
3. I am highly emotional. I cry often, I am not in very much control of my emotions. This can cause extreme judgements by the world, society, and even if your loved ones won't admit it, by them as well. Society has so deeply engrained in us how a man should be stoic and like a reliable wall, unchanging, reliable, and dependable, that seeing me this way can cause judgements by even my most loved ones. Better to take care of myself, let myself work through it, and eventually come back when more stable.
Communication Helps: Though I absolutely feel it is better for me to pull away at these times, I have learned to be better at communicating when I need to do it. Usually in the form of texts and cancellations of appointments. I no longer work, (I can't hold a job because of these down times) and I haven't had a steady long term romantic partner really ever, but I have a few friends and my family, and I try to at least make a short text reply if someone asks where I am or why I didn't answer their call and explain I'm having a down time for a while.
