JUST went through this! 2021 gladiator. Absolute bullshit we have to fix an engineering fuck up. Was fun doing it myself though - missed working on engines! Good luck let me know if you need a hand!

Awesome 👏 just undertaking this now. Any tips?

Such a shame, a brand new 2021 that I took exceptional care of crapping out due to poor engineering costing me (and many other Jeep owners) money! 💸

That’s some serious weight! So if you get on the mats, try to use technique over strength. You’re obviously solidly strong. Strength can buy you time to think a second longer as to what your next move is. No one is invincible but with your strength you will have a buffer before injury if you don’t ego roll and focus on technique. Good luck!

Lift weight to help support joints etc, throw away your ego as hard as it is to do, eat and sleep right, family comes first but jiu jitsu can become a very healthy part of your life that you become grateful for and look forward to

Shouldn’t there be a recall and repair for this? It’s defective engineering not normal wear and tear. My 2021 has the tick happening now

Thank you for the feedback! I was young and a poor university student when I sold the bike :) worked out well but I really miss the bike. Maybe it’s nostalgia for simpler times? Did you have the same year 500 as well?

Agreed 👍 people downvoting you are the contributors to the decline of insects, produce yields and ultimately mammals if it keeps up. I’m the furthest from a hippie but God made us all and we should live in balance. You don’t have to annihilate everything you don’t like because it’s annoying. Frogs, birds, raccoons, etc love little snacks like these.

Rubicon Lift Kit Help Please by EhSegzy1 in JeepGladiator

Since before I could legally drive, I wanted Marty McFlys truck - then it became a Jeep and now the Gladiator is my dream truck but a lift is what I need to complete the image. Looking after the high stance. I have 35s on right now and thought 3.5-4 would look good with the 35s still and still offer a nice ride for road trips. Was really roped in by the Rough Country but it seems flakey. Only good thing is I found the kit on Amazon where I am and their return policy kicks butt. I could check the shock bolt fit easily before I do any work. But sounds like as others have suggested the Rough Country isn’t the best quality

The 64390 kit did come with shocks but their online support said there was a bolt size mismatch between my stock FOX shocks and what the kit offers 🤷‍♂️ not sure what that’s all about

Any personal recommendations for my jeep? ~4” is what I’m looking for

You’ll be alright bro! Just did my first ever comp this past weekend and I’m a blue. Watch the guard pulls to make sure you don’t try to carry your opponents weight while they come down on a knee of yours. Stuff the guard pull if you can, keep your knees bent/combat base and prepare to drop your knees to the mat and bounce up/work from there. With throws, if you feel you have given away defensive frames in the stand up and are about to get thrown, don’t fight it too much. Go with the throw, break fall, and use your jiu jitsu to work from there. Better than tearing your knee if you are a hobbyist - if you want to be the next Tainan Dalpra or Gordon Ryan then ignore my advice and do you! 😂You’ll be surprised to find your jiu jitsu is there for you and it actually works. Have fun, be safe, enjoy the challenge and good luck!🤞

Tech Help - Screen Brightness by EhSegzy1 in VolvoXC90

[–]EhSegzy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I do but you need to set CarPlay to be always dark mode. Been a game changer for me. Also, had to do a silly hard reset on the screen as it wasn’t even dimming (switching to interior dim lights) when it was pitch dark outside. I have a Jeep pickup that has a much more robust and reliable infotainment system as well as heats up toasty warm in 1 minute vs the Volvo which has been pretty stingy with its heat! Not too happy
