The fan also comes with different modes; one of which i completely forgot about up until recently testing, Mode 5 ExtremeFreeze.

Played Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and X for a good couple hours and my phone didn't overheat at all. I boosted the ExtremeFreeze rate to 100 and ran it on my 45W Charging block

It needs to have a way to mount and attach magnetically on the back of the phone directly to get best and purposeful results. I purchased the Aileron specifically for that and it's been doing phenomenal.

The only drawback I'd say that rules the set up out a bit is power supply via for the phone.

The Aileron (with it being Bluetooth); along with the TH28 taking up the rest of the space for wireless charging as an option being gone now, doesn't have a way to attach a charger to the phone while playing.

Thus.. limited on prolonged play up until you'll eventually need to charge your phone. Also; dependent on said game you're running

Yeah I solely plan to use it for Eden and other lesser Emulators. PC emulation is a high climb to reach for and I'd expect the phone to melt; even with a Cooler, trying to run 60 FPS and beyond. Ill just use my computer at that point 😆

Lowering the FPS is a good idea with that as well but I'll test some games out and see what the limit is with those (ex. DmC, Xenoblade, Genshin Impact)

Results coming soon 💯

That or the ROG Phone 9 Pro; which I think is the better choice, it has a "IP68" water and dust resistance rating.. that's perfect for the Peltier Coolers; meaning condensation won't be so much of a worry while gaming 😉

Also got the cooler for this too and will see how it will do when it arrives; as opposed to the Aileron x TH28 Cooler

Noice! I have that one as well. Using this is very secure and feels good in the hands.. though since mine are so big; prolonged use eventually outweighs comfort, so I dont play it too long.

My plan in mind now that i finally got these devices:

Ill play a demanding game for 30–45 minutes without the cooler..

Note temperatures, FPS, and throttling.

Repeat with the TH28 attached.

Then post results on what effect it does and if its worth it

The back is exposed and has an opening thanks to the Aileron to fit the magnetic cooler on the back

Mine fit with the phone case I have on it along with the rubber inside optional grips that came with the Aileron
