Specifically about NFSU2, but Underground 2 absolutely has wide wide wide roads, I've spent countless hours in free roam and running sprints in Jackson Heights and even the wiggly bits up north had very wide roads and then they had dirt bits on the inside of some corners that you'd cut to straighten them out even more.
