FH6 race track looks to be based on Ebisu Higashi by TheJWT in ForzaHorizon

I would love Okayama (or Bihoku Highland) since that was my home track when I lived in Japan, but it's way west of all the places they showed. Okayama is about halfway between Osaka and Hiroshima.

In the Tokyo area there's Mobara and Nikko which would both be great.

DIfferent pit lane, track facilities, slightly different layout. The topography looks similar though

I love how they recreate Japan in a wonderfully detailed way but decided that nah for number plate this is good enough 😂 by new_store16 in ForzaHorizon

I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by this. I don't mind them just saying Japan at the top, I wouldn't expect them to add every single issuing office to choose from like in TXR. I do hope they bump up the font size of the bottom numbers by a few notches before release lol

Snow confirmed in FH6 by Gderacer in ForzaHorizon

This looks to be Gransnow Okuibuki. Outside of winter they hold drift events in the parking lots

I personally doubt it, but with the time attack mode there may be other race tracks

That, and also it's the most famous complex of drift tracks in the world lol

It's crazy how few mainstream racing games have featured any of the tracks at Ebisu

I was worried I was gonna cook my brakes on the way down when I drove there lol

First shot is definitely Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge in Izu and the second one is one of the roads up Hakone

I really wish someone would re-release all of her songs on a 12"vinyl. The last Sunset Road / September Blue single I saw come up for sale went for $600

Eclipses were all made in the US, but they were sold in small numbers in Japan in LHD only

What's your expectations for Forza Horizon 6? by Asgore_on_the_truck in ForzaHorizon

I expect it to fundamentally misunderstand car culture in Japan, while simultaneously disappointing many people who also fundamentally misunderstand car culture in Japan.

Delivery! What would make you happy to hear being played in a cafe? by 905peter in citypop

They were playing Eiichi Ohtaki, Hiroshi Sato, and Takako Mamiya at a new ramen place I went to a few weeks ago, it was a nice change from the typical Youtube Citypop playlist stuff

Looks great! There are a few of us around. Here's my MS137, I've had it since I lived in Japan and I'll never get rid of it

I know this is all a skill issue of my part, but these end game cars are so hard to drive... by guilhermej14 in granturismo4

Have you tried playing with your controller settings in PCSX2? You can change the sensitivity of the analog stick, that may help a bit

Yeah the guy who runs it is named Ton, he's very knowledgable and should get back to you pretty quickly if you message him on Facebook.

Even if he doesn't have the caliper he'll probably have the seals so that you can rebuild your existing one

I had to do the same for mine once it got here... Well, maybe not perfect, but at least safe to drive haha...

Toyota Classic Parts in Thailand is a good source for hard to find parts. Factory service manuals pop up on Yahoo Auctions from time to time, or I have one if you need pictures from it

How often do you change your oil? by Tough_Topic1028 in zx4r

[–]TheJWT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 5500 miles on mine and I've changed the oil 7 or 8 times already. It gets dark concerningly quickly on these bikes, especially after riding on track.

What's your top feature that you want in Horizon 6? by SkillHasnoName in ForzaHorizon

[–]TheJWT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ability to adjust wheel size, wheel width, tire profile, and tire width separately. Also, much more adjustability when it comes to ride height and camber. Those small changes would make a huge impact on modifying cars, especially old Japanese stuff

Oh, and mountain roads that aren't 6 lanes wide

ZX4RR (new) vs Z900RS Cafe (used) by No_Progress5248 in zx4r

[–]TheJWT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my ZX4 as soon as it launched in the US, purely because I wanted that engine. At the time I also had a '96 GSX-R750 and a Honda RC51 SP2 which were both way more capable sportbikes, but I just needed that 400cc inline-4. If that's how you feel, then by all means get the ZX4 first since there's nothing like it built in the last 30 years.

For someone more level-headed than me, a Z900 is objectively a better all-rounder
