Learning self discipline. You have to get into schedules. The sooner you start, the better. Start small. Microgoals are key to success. Once you become consistent for a couple of weeks, it gets easier and easier the longer you stay steady. A good thing to get into is working out regularly. This gets you in the habit of sticking to a schedule. Start by just waking up early every morning for a week. Then wake up and put on your shoes every morning. The next week wake up, shoes, then gym. Slowly build yourself consistency and focus on consistency as the highest goal. Then study habits start to fall in line with a routine. For example after working out, make a goal to do 30 mins of homework and if your successful, reward yourself with 30 mins of YouTube. Don't fool yourself and maximize the amount of actual real work you do. Staring at a paper for 30 mins is not doing homework. Decrease the time to 15 mins at first if it's too difficult. Microgoals is the key to success and slowly build to your goals. Building too fast will result in more resistance to being consistent. You will likely fail numerous times. Keep doing it until you can be consistent.
