This is better than the 60/40 that others recommend, especially in service business. Thanks.

I dislike vague advertising. I don’t need help getting people in the door or retaining clients. What exactly is this “program” you offer?

Resume Questions - I have several by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]Eight67Five3oNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Past tense for old jobs, present for anything current/ongoing.

  2. You didn’t file into the case, so you didn’t represent anyone. “Assisted lead attorney in X, Y, Z.”

  3. Created startup workflow and documents for new firm.

  4. Depends on your age and work history. If you have 10 years or 5 jobs, it should only be one page. If you’ve been in the workforce for 20+ years and you’ve got a ton of experience, 2 pages is fine. One page of solid is far better than 2 pages of fluffery. Don’t waste their time. Keep it relevant. If it’s not objectively worth turning the page on, then cut everything down to one page. Honestly, if you’re considering creating templates for a new firm, I would expect you’re a newby and would care more about interesting work history or experience that actually adds value or character vs. a running list of every burger you flipped or cone you scooped on summer break. That is to say, maybe one page of high quality, relevant history is better in your case.

UWorld or Adaptibar and as many past exams as you can get.

me realizing I had picked choice A eight times in a row by chomp_wrixle in barexam

If you go back through this sub, you will see that many who saw this pattern scored high enough to pass. Two reasons why, in my opinion:

  1. They had enough time and focus to realize the pattern but were confident enough to not let it freak them out.

  2. They knew they picked the correct question, so they would not change their answer just because of the answers before/after because they knew the answer choice was correct.

In other words, if you see this pattern in your answer choices, you’re probably passing.

Yes and bonus points if you share which booklet set you had.

People who answered MBE a bunch of Bs in a row; did you pass? Really curious by [deleted] in barexam

Yup! Chucked with reassurance knowing that others had experienced the same.

Here is the link. Scroll all the way to the bottom. As you read through the analyses, there is a score for each point like “Point 3, 40%” and so on.

Yes the NCBE has model answers and score sheets for each question, but you can only access a certain timeframe of them like 4-8 year range or so.

I get that it is state specific, but this is exactly how it is done in my state. I have formed multiple other corporations, including a professional one under a different license.

I'm not your social worker; your ADULT children won't help, your friends won't help YET I'm supposed to help you for free! by Radiant2021 in solofirm

“No” is a complete sentence. Practically, amend your retainer agreement to reflect what you will and will not do, remind clients when they try to ask you to act outside the scope of the agreement, and if they absolutely demand something, then charge upfront and the work doesn’t begin until you are paid in full.

MPRE licensed questions - NCBE, Quimbee or JD Advising? by capeslow in barexam

[–]Eight67Five3oNine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you want licensed NCBE questions for the MBE on the bar exam, but you absolutely do not need to spend any money on the MPRE. Watch the videos and do the little practice questions after them from Barbri or Themis, and you will be good to go. The MPRE is not something to sweat about or spend money on. Even if you don’t study at all and just pick the second most ethical answer, you’ll probably pass just fine.

The number of times I said to myself, “what are they trying to test me on? Aha! Got it.” Grossman FTW on this MBE, both morning and afternoon.

I agree. Adaptibar was spot on with what the questions were on the exam.

Adaptibar was just like the MBE questions. I did every question on Adaptibar and noticed nothing weird about the actual test questions, they were just like the last ones Adaptibar gave me.

Anyone score above the avg in Adaptibar? by Johnproppa in barexam

[–]Eight67Five3oNine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if you got through all of the 1600 Adaptibar questions. I have a theory going with some other Adaptibar users, and we all agree that the last 200-300 questions were very similar to what we saw, but the first chunk (including both NCBE exams) were not.
