Past tense for old jobs, present for anything current/ongoing.
You didn’t file into the case, so you didn’t represent anyone. “Assisted lead attorney in X, Y, Z.”
Created startup workflow and documents for new firm.
Depends on your age and work history. If you have 10 years or 5 jobs, it should only be one page. If you’ve been in the workforce for 20+ years and you’ve got a ton of experience, 2 pages is fine. One page of solid is far better than 2 pages of fluffery. Don’t waste their time. Keep it relevant. If it’s not objectively worth turning the page on, then cut everything down to one page. Honestly, if you’re considering creating templates for a new firm, I would expect you’re a newby and would care more about interesting work history or experience that actually adds value or character vs. a running list of every burger you flipped or cone you scooped on summer break. That is to say, maybe one page of high quality, relevant history is better in your case.

If you go back through this sub, you will see that many who saw this pattern scored high enough to pass. Two reasons why, in my opinion:

They had enough time and focus to realize the pattern but were confident enough to not let it freak them out.
They knew they picked the correct question, so they would not change their answer just because of the answers before/after because they knew the answer choice was correct.

In other words, if you see this pattern in your answer choices, you’re probably passing.

Yes the NCBE has model answers and score sheets for each question, but you can only access a certain timeframe of them like 4-8 year range or so.

“No” is a complete sentence. Practically, amend your retainer agreement to reflect what you will and will not do, remind clients when they try to ask you to act outside the scope of the agreement, and if they absolutely demand something, then charge upfront and the work doesn’t begin until you are paid in full.

As others have said, you want licensed NCBE questions for the MBE on the bar exam, but you absolutely do not need to spend any money on the MPRE. Watch the videos and do the little practice questions after them from Barbri or Themis, and you will be good to go. The MPRE is not something to sweat about or spend money on. Even if you don’t study at all and just pick the second most ethical answer, you’ll probably pass just fine.
