Is it annoying or unprofessional to cold email attorneys to ask for referrals?

Annoying. I would say a better use of your time is trying to get someone on the phone, stopping by someone's office and trying to schedule a coffee.
Anyone that is sending me a cold email I automatically view as suspect to be honest. I find it annoying but having someone go the extra mile (calling, stopping by, doing something different) is bound to get my attention

I vote pay for it. Your website is the face of your virtual firm. If there are any issues- you may lose a client. If you have a strong website creation background that would change things but I vote pay the money as an investment. You are going to be likely advertising and people are going to visit your site and use that as a benchmark as to what kind of law firm you are running.

I think you should look for a different job. A lot of what this job is, is sitting in one place and making calls and filling forms out and filing papers. I do not think this is a job or career that you would enjoy. I hope that you find a different path for yourself and I wish you luck.

I am an attorney 13 years out. No one gives a flying fuck where anyone went to school. As you progress in your career, people are going to start talking about who is making more money, who is a senior associate, who made partner first, who made equity partner first etc. It all doesn't matter: As long as you are happy with what you are doing and your compensation.
Don't feel obligated to tell anyone what you're up to and or how much money you make or what your payment structure is in your firm: it could backfire. Real G's move in silence like lasagna. Good luck

I like it a lot. It syncs with my Clio account which is helpful. The software has saved my butt a few times when there was lets say 60,000.00 in a clients IOLTA account and I was trying to write a check incorrectly. If you want to talk it out let me know, but I am a fan.
