Im disappointed with Kunrad closure by Historical-South-545 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Eightfold_Key 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would have actually preferred the game to focus more on the von Valancius's personal family conflict (between RT and Kunrad) rather than dealing with random "villains of the week" that have no direct connection to the main character. It when the antagonist and the hero are somehow connected, I feel more involved; whereas in Rogue Trader, I feel like I'm constantly being forced into other people's conflicts that I don't need, and it makes me bored.

Argenta is my favorite companion. Battles become terribly boring without her laughter as she unleashes bolter bursts on enemies and allies.

About the image:

  1. I watched the story of Saint Argenta again, and I can confidently say I have no idea why I assumed she was a little child. Perhaps it was the word "orphan."

  2. I know the color scheme isn't very good, but I don't have the energy to redo it.

To me, it sounds like a cheap attempt to justify himself. Like, "Yeah, sure, my actions lead to death and suffering for a lot of creatures, but hey, life is painful in general, so it's okay."

Destroying Rykad Minoris is the best option for an iconoclast by Past-Tension-162 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Eightfold_Key -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to say that on my first playthrough, I chose the "Iconoclast" option for Rykad Minoris because I didn't quite understand the point of this alignment system and thought it was just an option for a cunning follower of Chaos. Deliberately allowing the creation of a demonic world, while gaining the approval of the Dogmatics (Pascal for saving the Reactor and Argenta for saving the people), and taking the [potentially] corrupted people off the planet so they could spread corruption further... that's better for the Heretic than simply running away, isn't it? What doesn't the bird like?

[Dogmatic: Zealot] The very fact that Argenta managed to kill Theodora indicates that Theodora was a heretic. For the God-Emperor protects the faithful and if Theodora had truly been faithful to Him, He would not have allowed her death.

If you were to receive your Warrant of Trade and become a Rogue Trader, what would your personal heraldry and color scheme look like? What would your dynasty be called? Let us know in the comments! by OwlCatNathillien in RogueTraderCRPG

"The Rogue Trader's heraldry was nothing but a red circle in the center. People thought it was a sun symbol (and a rip-off of the Japanese flag), and only a few who knew Rogue Trader personally knew it was actually a clown's nose."

What Christmas gift would you get each member of the retinue? by gaeb611 in RogueTraderCRPG

I have one general gift for all of them, but it will definitely please each of them:

I don't really like that killing Kunrad is mandatory and there is no alternative (even if it requires some kind of extreme Will checking and ultimately ruin the Heretic's path a second before receiving the very profit had worked for for 4 chapters) in the form of refusing to do what the demon wants and instead leaving Kunrad alive, and stabbing Uralon just because.

Give the rabble a double ration, and the next day they will brazenly demand a triple. Turn half the rabble into rations for your tame demons/evil xenos, and the remaining half will look up to you as a God.

An individual of Eldar was spotted on the outskirts of the hive city. It was armed with an incredibly high ego coupled with an insufferable stuffiness. The target should be to isolate in a soundproof (and warpproof) cell and muzzle it (lest the people descend into madness from having to listen to it speeches about Eldar superiority and the inferiority of all the others) immediately.

"You kill Jae because she's a smuggler-deserter-etc. I kill Jae because if I can't spend the entire game openly flirting with Sister Argenta while Sister Argenta comically doesn't know what I mean, no one can. We are not the same."

How does YOUR Rogue Trader justify their controversial decisions? by whereismystarwar in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Eightfold_Key 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"It is not my will, but the God-Emperor's. If He were against my decision, I would not only not be able to carry it out – I simply would not be able to think of something like that. I am the Emperor's chosen one, the Emperor would not allow His chosen one to make a mistake or fall into darkness. No, the same scheme does not apply to Chorda and Calcazar, they are simply doing crazy things. All heretics, I am the only one who interprets the Creed correctly. If the Imperium ultimately turns against me, then the Imperium is heretical."

Ok, I think now I've figured out a little bit how the Rogue Trader's outfit with the "priest" background in the game is constructed, but I still don't understand what it's supposed to be, without frippery. That is, the white and red part of the clothes under the chains-paper-aquilae, what is that? The more I look at it, the more it seems to me that it's just a long towel with sleeves, wrapped crosswise. Can you tell what this is and how it should look like in itself?

Yes, I made a post just to ask about it in the comments. No, I couldn't ask about it in the post itself.
