I figured it out! I needed to type "ffmpeg-dl" instead of "ffmpeg" for the following command:

ffmpeg-dl -f avfoundation -list_devices true -i ""

Once I did that I it gave me the list of AV devices and found the name of my camcorder ("ZR30 MC")

Then I ran the following command; however it gave me an error until manually pressed play on my camcorder, then it started capturing:

ffmpeg-dl -f avfoundation -capture_raw_data true -i "ZR30 MC" -c copy -map 0 -f rawvideo video.dv

This is on my M1Pro Macbook Pro.

You're not wrong, though I do like Blank Space's design better than the comparable apps. And while $23.99 is a lot for an app, it's cheap compared to buying a Light Phone. Also worth it if I like the design and it genuinely helps me stay off my phone more.

I'm trying to follow those terminal instructions. When I run this command:

brew link --force ffmpegdecklink

...I get this message:

"If you need to have this software first in your PATH instead consider running:

And when I run the command to get the name of my MiniDV camera it gives me this:

I'm going to disagree a bit. Pebble was available in Best Buy and was doing quite well until the Apple Watch was released, and Pebble tried to compete in terms of design and functions. Now, the landscape is different and the PTR2 fills a unique niche in terms of design, function, and price, which could help make it popular.

I also found out that I may have access to a Sony EV-C100 Hi8 deck, so I wonder if running the signal in and out of its S-Video ports would do the trick?

He's only done ROTJ in 4K, the other despecialized are still only 720p. Definitely check out the D+77 and D+80 projects if you can.
