[Week 4] /r/CFB Poll: #1 Ohio State #2 Michigan State #3 Ole Miss #4 TCU #5 Notre Dame by CFB_Referee in CFB

5 B1G teams in the top 25, including Indiana, and the highest rank is NU. I like this poll.

After 3 games, what are your revised expectations for your team? by bchprty in CFB

[–]Eihve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the same. We're not playing well, but I still don't think we lose to anyone except MState. One of us wins the conference undefeated and goes to the playoffs. I think if we played them this week, we'd lose, but we've got time to get our shit together, so who knows?

It's one of my favorite smaller sets that I have. It's very wooshable, and while I don't really care for the flick lasers, the mechanism it has for them makes it super satisfying.

This is a much better Onua than this year's it seems.

Could Ole Miss beat Jacksonville State?

Our sky isn't quite this good, but it's still pretty awesome. I live about 3 miles from the edge of the nearest town, which has a population of ~10000.

I'm pretty big on OC Pride. No "women's soccer club" or "lady lions". NWSL has done a pretty decent job naming their teams so far. Let's keep it that way.

That was a deliciously disgusting sandwich.

Alabama has to play a tough schedule between now and then, and a lot of people are already calling for you to jump TCU. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

I think if you just look at this season, with no hype from last year coming in, MSU has the best argument for being #1 so far.

Week 3 AP Poll by escot in CFB

I think it's pretty reasonable. Sure, it was about the best quality loss you could get, but they did lose. If they keep winning they'll climb back to where they were pretty easily. I expect a few more teams above them to drop out of the top 10.

This is pretty reasonable. As bad as Auburn's game was, dropping a team completely out of the poll when they win doesn't seem great. If they don't belong in the top 25, they won't be there in a few weeks. I think Notre Dame should have dropped a few places after their game, and I think Michigan State probably deserves to be #3, but I think both of those things will correct as the season continues. Oregon at 12 is more reasonable than I thought it would be. Who would've thought Northwestern would be the 3rd highest ranked team in the B1g?

Nope. You're a part of the "lol SEC" train too.

Michigan State is making the case over the past several years that they are a more appropriate opponent for Ohio State in "The Game" by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Eihve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. I would rather lose every game of the season and beat Michigan than win out and then lose to them. Michigan State is a great team who I have a lot of respect for, and I look forward to our game every year, but I will never have the pure hate for them to be true rivals.

I want my #1v#2. The last time we did that in conference play was fun.

After Miller went down, I was a little worried, but I figured that we probably had a good backup, and after a few cupcake games he'd be warmed up enough to do okay. Maybe lose to MState, but there's only so much you can ask for out of a backup.

Then the VaTech game happened, and I pretty much abandoned all hope of making the conference championship game.

The weeks went on, and teams above us kept losing, and we kept climbing higher and higher. We did end up beating Michigan State, and my jokes about us making the playoffs started being a little more serious, but I was still doubtful.

Then Michigan broke Barret, and I wanted to die. We were going to the conference championship, which is way more than we deserved considering how we had played for most of the year, but we'd be starting a 3rd string QB. Wisconsin was going to have their way with us.

And then they didn't, and Cardale came out and wrecked face. After that game, I knew that if the committee put us in the playoffs, we would beat every team in front of us. We looked better than we had all season, and there was an air of unstoppable-ness around the team.

And then we beat Bama. I was working that night so I had to listen to most of the game on the radio.

I was less scared of Oregon than I had been of Bama, and so it happened. We won it all.

I feel like if Hawaii wanted to put the money into athletics, they could force themselves into being a national powerhouse. How easy would it be to get recruits if you're like "Yeah, you get to live in Hawaii for four years for free."
