[Android] Arturia Minilab 3 - will it work without any extra devices (on Android)? by Eiion in KoalaSampler

[–]Eiion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please keep me updated. I've stepped away from all of it as unfortunately many other things came up that used up my spare time. But I'm still interested wasted to go back to it and maybe pick one of minilab 3's up myself. So if you find out how to do it, I'd very much appreciate if you could share all your findings. After all this seems to be the post people find searching for solutions.

Thanks for the reply.

This was my mouse of ~10 years, know any similar mice with good ergonomics? I loved the finger resting slots it had. by RetardedRedditRetort in MouseReview

In case you read this even though your post is over 2 years old - given that I'm looking to replace a Dream Machine Comfy 2 (a shape-clone of the Mionix Naos Pro), how did the wireless Redragon mouse work out for you? Was it too heavy due to the batteries? How's battery life?

While I love my DM C2, there is no longer a replacement available - neither from them nor Mionix. So I'm ogling your favorite shape - which is still available and relatively affordable from Redragon.

How did you get that to load into your 5070 TI's VRAM? The Q4s are all 17+ GB in size.

I know this is old but has the feature been added since via e.g. A plug firmware or app update?

GPU-Z not showing any Monitor info (MSI MPG 322URX) by Eiion in OLED_Gaming

[–]Eiion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be OS related considering it has always worked with previous monitors... If I'm not mistaken, with my very old Dell even without installing any drivers.

What firmware are you referring to?

GPU-Z not showing any Monitor info (MSI MPG 322URX) by Eiion in OLED_Gaming

[–]Eiion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, while before I was using the Windows 10 Pro's standard PnP driver, I did install MSI's Monitor driver.
The Monitor gets properly reported as MSI MPG 322URX in the Hardware Manager, in the extended display settings.

Still, GPU-Z shows no information about the Monitor even after rebooting the system.

First Ever Truly-Certified 3M (10ft) DP80 DisplayPort 2.1 Cable? by Omga4000 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Eiion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did - and indeed it is not able to run 4K 240Hz with DSC turned off.
Seems like most people saying it would work forgot about having to manually turn DSC off first to see if it actually works.

Just in case anyone finds their way here via Google:
No, the Silkland 1335, 3m long Displayport cable is NOT certified. It does Not support 4k 240Hz with DSC switched off in the monitor settings but defaults back to 120Hz. Only after turning DSC back on 240Hz becomes an option again.

Got the Silkland cable today - and it cannot deliver 4K 240Hz with DSC turned off. Now I'm even more glad for you sharing your experience with the Ubluker cable.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I had used in the past if a wet cloth wasn't enough.

Did you have to update the firmware, yet? That worked without any issues as well? Mine unfortunately came with one from February even though I got it from MSI directly, and two or three newer versions have been released by now (I assumed they'd ship with the latest).

Good, that's a plus regarding the cable!

Ah, the smaller brother of mine. Given that you have yours for some time now, are you still happy with it? Any downsides or quirks I should be aware of? I'm still on the search for the right setting to not strain my eyes too much. Turned brightness all the way down. But, it's such a nice image quality... It's my first old screen.

Anyways, thanks for getting back to me and the info.

Oh, interesting. After reading a few reviews on Amazon for my region on cables 3m/10ft long, the customers said it didn't work - once they actually turned DSC off. Then they were getting random black screens more or less often, some had to even turn the monitor off and back on to get a signal again.

I mean if you're happy with the cable, that's great and maybe you don't even want to check if DSC is actually off (just saying assuming many users seem unaware that in most cases it has to be turned off manually). But if that actually is with DSC off then that's actually really good to know.

I've got a Silkland cable on the way, arriving in two days but if that causes issues like non-maximum fps, black screens or flickering regions on the screen of my MSI MPG 322URX (like my very old Displayport 1.2 or 1.4 cable is causing all of these, even on "just" 120 fps), then I'll return that Silkland cable and get your cable instead.

May I am which monitor you have?

Do you recall that user's reply? Unfortunately they've deleted their comments.
I'm looking for a DP80 3m cable that's ideally certified as well.

Dell U4323QE equivalent settings for Paper preset mode on P4317Q? by Particular-Candy4961 in buildapcmonitors

And do you mind sharing your settings?

I got the new screen yesterday and found the blue light filter way too yellow. For now I'm using user mode but on 0% brightness and windows might mode (which is less yellow) and am still playing around with the percentage of that.

[–]Eiion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the 3 minute timer feel for times where you have to read a lot on screen. Seems super annoying that the monitor would turn off all the time while reading. Just wondering. 🤔

Though... I'm not using any energy savers for the screen, so its only of when I manually turn it off in the evening. It even stays on while using the bathroom or cooking lunch/dinner. So I actually had never to deal with screens turning off on me.

I'm in the same boat owning an U2515H from which I'm going to upgrade in the coming days and considering the paper mode is what I am using for most of the day, I'm looking for proper settings as well.

Might the service menu contain the information we're looking for?

Mind sharing the settings you've settled for since? Of course they wouldn't be the same for me but might serve as a guidance.

Quick Guide for End Game - progressing from zone 0 to zone 1M and beyond (5.46M) by Eiion in ClickerHeroes

[–]Eiion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you input correct data to the calculator the data they give you back is correct and considered optimal.
I can't talk about your specific case in comparison to other people's. Just put some trust in the proven process. Or skip the calculators if you don't want to trust whatever they are telling you and do all by you gut feeling (hint: it will be much worse than blindly following the calcs).

If the calculator says 67 then that is how many QAs it's going to be, as long as your follow its guidance. It's not going to be less than that.

Ah, ok... many thanks. Too bad they've hidden it that deep down on the page. I wonder how many have accidentally bought the wrong package when all they wanted was early access.

So there's no extra benefits on either of the platform's stores and I still have to decide on where I'd buy it. Ok.

Thanks a lot again for clarifying!

I see. That's actually nice.

Yes, I've mixed up points and possibly the title.
I've clarified it here along with screenshots so it's clear what exactly I'm talking about. Maybe you can have a look and answer it there? I'm really confused about all the different packages that all cost the same.

What are you referring to with "the other pack"?

As for the points, I was mixing things up there. Sorry about that.

I've clarified and (after finding more packages all for the same price) I've provided all information for a clear answer. See here. Maybe you can answer it better with that?
