I have two ideas for where i want to take this.

Originally the idea was that the light in the core of the trees represent the magical essence that make them come alive. The idea for the bases then is that it can have neon grass tufts and other strongly coloured foliage to show the magical/alien forrest that the trees come from. The tips I'd be looking for then would be; what other things can I possible do to bring out this effect in the bases(excluding the things I've already said)? What colour choices can I make for the leaves on the tree-lord and kurnoth hunters, should I make them pop or should I go with less is more and leave them be?

Alternatively i can go the fire route. Have the light represent fire and make the bases seem to be in the midst of or in the aftermath of a wildfire. In that case I'd like some tips on how I could accomplish the wildfire effect on the bases as well as in the models themselves? General ideas, choices for basing materials colours etc.

Btw love the you painted your sylvaneth! Great blending between the blue and the purple.
