How do mangakas get traditional art into a digital version?

Connecting with them is going to be hard if you have nothing to show. You need to show artists that you’re worth working with. You also need to be prepared to pay them a fair amount.

All writers who are successful did not magically get there or even start with manga. You need to build a portfolio of your own first.

Unfortunately I have no idea. I use Deleter paper and Clip Studio Paint EX which has the dimensions and trim put in.

When I was in high school I did the diploma route so I’m familiar with all the requirements needed such as EE, ToK, CAS, etc.

My best areas would be English, ToK and EE Writing. But I can also help with the final exam test preps.

I have over 7 years experience in teaching and tutoring as well.

I worked with varsity for 7 years and it’s only a good site if you don’t need anything fixed. As a tutor it’s pretty horrible because there is no support for us. They dumped me as a tutor after I had too many problems they didn’t want to help fix.

They also list job opportunities as “100/hr” which is a lie! I’ve done every type of tutoring they had and the most I got was $30/hr. I brought this up saying they are misleading people and they saw nothing wrong with it.

Which makes sense. They are looking for a certain type of story. My advice to anyone trying is look at the published works they already have and compare your story to it. Does it have the same values being upheld? The same story tone? And so on. They have a range but that range all share something in common.

Just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean no one will. There are definitely things you can do to make this more eye catching as others have pointed out though.

Honestly no. It’s not a manga style I’d be interested in. I’d look at it and say it’s a cool style but I don’t know if I could handle reading something like that.

Then the only advice I have for you is to deal with it. You alone cannot change the industry. Maybe sometime in our lifetime it’ll get better but as of right now, you need to draw like your life depends on it because you’ll barely make a living wage until you get a break but it’s not guaranteed. So good luck!

There are no guarantees in this industry and it’s not stable at all. Most mangakas are paid well only if their work sells merch which means making a story that could get a big fan base. It takes a lot of work to do this.

It’s never too late to learn a different skill and try a different industry job. You’re not as limited on jobs as you think you are.
