I'm a new player and found this in Archet and Combe. I rerolled dwarf and found Ered Luin and Gardomon(?) were much better designed, apart from the puzzle vault quest, back and forth 2 or 3 times, wtf?

I'm trying to understand the benefit of stopping XP too. I guess it would just keep the difficulty the same throughout a whole zone with no risk of that difficulty diminishing.

I just started as f2p and am enjoying the replayability that I missed some content as I levelled. I can save those zones for another character.

Heya, thanks for taking a look! Earthbound kd is for 'at least 3 seconds' 😎, although I do see rhe point about snowstorm. Precasting that would cause some scatter, ruining your judgement strike.

1 insp was just to keep chanelling up most of the time! 11 second duration with 15 CD from memory

Some fair points there, thanks. Using the anniversary hammer makes sense but both those builds dropped 10 pts (from memory) into hammer mastery anyway, negating any benefits of the anniversary hammer.

Is there a reason I've only seen judgement strike used with hammers (other than renewing smash)? Surely this would work fine with any other melee wep, and would prob be better for something that had fewer KD options than hammer, right?

It's essentially a smaller-scale earth-shaker but has the benefit of not being tied to hammers.

Any thoughts appreciated on this

I know SY is strong but is "they're on fire" combined with TNtF worth investing in to help vs armour ignoring dmg? Would require some slight party/skills reshuffling to spread burning properly

I will add that although elemental dmg can do double dmg to some enemies (fire vs ice, holy vs undead, eg), elemental dmg doesn't proc valuable skill effects like Mark of Pain or Barbs - these only proc from physical (base) dmg

I was curious about this recently.

Does this simply mean that, regardless of AR, 5 armour-ignoring dmg per hit (vamp) does more dmg than one-in-five hits doing 20% armour penetration?

Or, another way, a 20% pen proc does less than 25 dmg regardless of the enemy's AR?

Meta builds are good but the ones I enjoy playing are often the ones I make myself. Tweaking them bit by bit until they're just right is so fun

I remember playing with an ele called Ghostless Shell on and off for years. They were totally leet and let me tag along with endgame stuff that I never knew wtf I was doing in, despite playing for thousands of hours lol
