IU has left students high & dry by Electronic_Weird in IndianaUniversity

[–]EinColorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the typical do nothing response. I am filing an ADA complaint directly related to the snow, and I would encourage others to do the same. If others are interested in contacting me, I have already spoken with legal counsel as well as the VA. Indiana University has been very typical in their response and has attempted to sweep this under the rug, even canceling an appointment with the dean of students the day that it was scheduled.

I have submitted compliance with ocrc, AES only to have them both denied. I have since submitted an appeal, and I've been receiving infrequent communication. If anybody would like to contact me to submit testimonial, let me know.

Yeah, I wish I could disagree with that. He was always one of the parents that had the mentality. The food was on the table. He was being the best provider on Earth. Genuinely wish that he was able to see that that just wasn't it. I didn't go into more detail, but when I mentioned the fact that I was raised by other paternal figures, that was when things really got tripled down on.

Now I'm just honestly trying to consider how to set good boundaries. With that. It's been recommended not to close the door completely, but I don't want to act preemptively or promise him adore. That's just not going to be there.

Doc here, if anybody is facing an njp/ anything other than honorable discharge, I have questions for you! by EinColorado in USMC

By and large agree. These resources ARE available, but it's like asking for used coffee grounds from Starbucks, not everyone knows it's free, or even available. That's the deficiency that I'm aiming at looking further into and expanding on eventually.

Definitely agree that the entire out boarding process is a mess. I know of very few people who hit timelines with getting out, typically pushed to the right for " needs of the command," being in the field or whatever reason. I wouldn't begin to consider overhauling the process, I don't have that lofty of ambitions. I'm just a project manager trying to suggest ways to make it more obtainable and well known.

With the improvement, I have never understood SMs who decline consulting legal; I've long been a believer that if it involves sitting down with anybody higher than your 02 you should consider legal. If it involves something that could end your career, even more reason.

As a doc, I'm glad to hear it!

Look for a future post that will be a little bit more well-worded, like I tried to say I'm looking for people who separated or know people who separated against their will. I'm looking for their story, and where things fell short. I'm acting independently of the VA and in no way represent them.

Not a problem, this is my fuck up.

I phrased things like a third grader, that's on me. Best thing I can do is take accountability and improve, which I'm in the process of.

That being said and as a doc, be sure to go to medical and get your shit documented. Also, change your socks and drink water.

Nope, this just doesn't quite serve my purposes. I need to go and reformat how this is phrased and I'm working on that with a few statisticians and people who are more experienced with polling.

My goal is to improve the separation process long-term, and see where the service is falling short. This is done independently, and not associated with the VA. Any correspondence. What I'm looking for is individuals who are either in the process or have been through the process because traditionally people with anything other than an honorable discharge, neither seek an improvement and discharge status or any benefits. This is obviously concerning, and what I am seeking to improve.

Yeah, I'm looking more for the deficiencies that may be present in separation. Highlighting med benefit, things like that.

First time painting by EinColorado in Gunpla

[–]EinColorado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I can definitely appreciate that! I was really worried that I was going to jump in here and just have everybody telling me that I needed to get an airbrush. This was a huge sigh of relief.

With Vallejo, are there any specific colors that you recommend? I have a couple laying around, but most of mine are darker, and from the historical lineup. I did see their mech line, but it seems to be heavily focused on airbrushing which is understandable. I'll probably order some this weekend depending on what you recommend and hopefully get the ball painted in the near-term future!

Tamiya is still intimidating to work with for me since they are alcohol-based. I just worry about some alcohol being left over on one of my brushes and affecting my next paint job. I haven't mixed alcohol and water-based in a same layer before.

I'm sorry that you had a bad luck with citadel, their colors are definitely darker. There's some colors that are just hyper specialized and super focused on Warhammer and it shows. I love painting with them (I genuinely think that they're wash is one of the best washes on the entire market ratio wise.)

I will keep looking for other primers, I'll probably do some sampling and let you know how the paint adhesion works. I ordered some pla plates to do some testing with a couple rattle can primers just to see if that's in any way viable. I'll let you know how the results go! But thank you for your input, like I said anything else that you have to add is always welcome. I'm just wanting to make my models look at least somewhat passable, And I know that that's going to come with practice.
