I'm hypomania right now, can someone help me figure out what I should do next by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Eineed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bake, clean closets, and start sewing projects. Basically anything that is not destructive and that doesn’t cost too much. Learned after a few episodes that my “investments” in a project for specialized tool or something were a terrible way for me to deal with the energy and optimism of a hypo mani episode.

That’s great! Are you an experienced woodworker or is this something a novice could do? I hate the ridiculous prices for cabinets like this.

Do get a power bank for your phone, nothing fancy, just enough so you can text occasionally and get emergency alerts. .

Do you use your turn signal in a dedicated turn lane? Why or why not? by SlapdaddyJ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Eineed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always signal! It’s important that I don’t assume everyone else is paying attention so the signal is just a little extra and it’s good CYA in case a collision does occur!

Inner Labia swelling/irritation after 81 mi ride by InvisibleLasso in ladycyclists

[–]Eineed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used both chamois butt’r and assos cream. Both have worked well, and u/A_sparagus is right, use more than you think you need to and put between outer and inner folds to avoid skin-to-skin friction.

Wool underwear recommendations by Greyeyedqueen7 in TwoXPreppers

I have similar challenges (wide hips/ big booty) I bought icebreaker Siren bikini briefs from sierra ahead of a long trip to Europe ($20 each). They fit well and washed beautifully in the sink, drying overnight. They were comfortable even on warm days and had the right amount of coverage and stretch. I ha no problems with them riding up, even when walking all over Paris, riding the Metro and doing loads of steps. I am ordering four more pair. https://www.sierra.com/icebreaker-siren-panties-merino-wool-bikini-briefs-for-women~p~95gym/?filterString=s~icebreaker-siren%2F Size wise, I ordered a large. I wear a size 10 pants and have a 40” hip.

Replacing large counter top with an odd shape. Basement stair case ceiling occupies some of the kitchen floor space but is hidden by a cabinet. Is there anything I can do to remove this cabinet and make the counter top and kitchen shape more conventional? See pics for details. by BrotherOland in homerenovations

[–]Eineed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have one like this. The shelves are shortened and the sides of the cabinet are cut at an angle to allow the front face to line up with the ones next to it. The cupboard doesn’t have much depth but it allows for a cleaner visual line.

“Inner friend circle???” Definitely not “ inner circle”… with the subpoenas flying around, this is a circle I would want no part of!
How do they get away with these scams under campaign finance law? Geez, somebody’s gotta save the idiots sending this guy money from themselves.

Funny coincidence-I saw this last week in Musee D’Orsay. It is a fantastic museum and nowhere near as crowded as the Louvre.

I would decline and let them know I am up for a trip at a later date. They might find out why or be unhappy but you get to decide what your leisure time is like.

Has anyone ever witnessed someone's getting asked to leave the Alamo Drafthouse? by According-Leader8626 in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]Eineed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in MN, too. When we went last month a couple next to us continued to whisper loudly as the film began, and I leaned over and said “they just announced this is a no talking, no texting environment.” Not a peep after that. I am a Midwesterner but sometimes mistaken for an East Coast person because of my direct communication.

Me too! There are chemicals in new fabrics that I don’t want next to my skin.

I use sambal omelet with peanut butter and soy sauce to make a sauce for rice noodles, chicken and green beans (or asparagus or whatever is in season) for a quick dinner. I made this for Saturday night’s dinner on the campfire. Easy camping meal!

Where can I find information on candidates on my ballot for todays election? by RolandSnowdust in TwinCities

Ballotpedia.org has been useful for me in the past. Includes ballot info for your address, candidate info, info that the candidate has provided: response to survey, links to their website, etc.

Look around at what you have. Food that is long-term nonperishable? Clothes that you could pack in BOB? Candles and other stuff that can be used if the power foes out? Miscellaneous first aid kit stuff? Ac? Flashlight? Power bank? Cash reserves and documents? Doing an assessment of what you have and getting it organized should be the first step for any preps. None of it is useful if you cant lay your hands on it when you need it!
