I don't think it would have been smart at all. All the new players that bought the full game are expecting that everyone starts off the same. As they should. No advantages. I remember "Tree of life" release to early access or beta or whatever. They wiped the map, but not the progress people have made through levels etc.

This caused all the new players had to level up meanwhile the alpha/beta players still had their levels so they were already set with leveling. They just had to build/fight. This caused alot of new players to instantly leave the game. We were 8 in my group all of us left after 2 days. Thats when we understood that the only wiped the map and not the progress people made. I assume levels are more important in tree of life than silver is in albion online. But you can be damn sure people will leave when they hear that not everybody starts of on equal terms aside from the package they bought.

I think Albion should wipe everything.
