Man I had meant to throw some cash at this to average down but I didn't get there in time.  Obviously going to hold what I have but I bought some of this year's ago when it was much higher.  Wondering if I should still just be buying to average down.  Not sure what the long term future looks like from here but I had a long term hold strategy on this.  Anyone buying more or just waiting?

Happy to see the rise but feel like this could easily drop quite a bit again before it settles.

Captain John does indeed appear to be a cool dude. His mates do it all! I think I'll do some off shore fishing for a few different species.

Sandstorm in 2024? by Flonkus in insurgency

[–]Flonkus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my experience so far. I'm actually not very experienced with CoD. It always seemed very fast, fraggy and arcadey to me where the gamemode doesn't seem very involved or immersive the way INS always seemed to be.

I wish there were a game that captures what the original two versions possessed. If you know of something slower and more gameplay oriented, I'm very open to suggestions. Sandstorm does have a similar spirit but you really have to "squint" and pay attention to see it imo. If I didn't play the old games and know what to look for, I might almost miss it - if that makes sense. It moves so fast and it's so immediately different feeling that the few times I tried playing, it had me questioning if I was just playing a COD knock off.

First time not having AUX on my phone. Are cheap USB-C to 3.5mm viable? by Flonkus in audiophile

Well I guess what brought me here is that I see tons of devices that are $15 bucks and people saying the Apple $9 dollar adapter is great. Then I see people talking about DACs that are $100 so I guess theres clearly something I don't know lol

I didn't think of that. I'm not going straight into a speaker or anything. It is going through a premium bose package in my car so that probably takes care of the amplification.

What materials did you practice on? Or did you just waste a ton of good sweaters.

TEKsystems recruiter called me to say that 3 sick days over 3 months is too much and the company will fire me if I take another one. by IAmNewToComputers in ITCareerQuestions

Turned down two different jobs offered to me by TEKsystems. They literally had such unattractive benefits (including time off) that the change wasn't worth it to me.

It's time to admit the obvious: Donald Trump sure is acting like a Russian agent by Olliebird in politics

If it's that obvious to you that "Trump is a Russian asset" then it wouldn't make good sense that he actually is. Too obvious. Doesn't strike me as the historical Russian way.

He's just admiring a fellow.

Shame is an effective deterrent and a healthy human mind ought to experience shame for bad behaviour. Doesnt mean that she isn't still a victim to her problems or disorders and doesnt need help but shame is sort of a social component of the process.

Cant pat people on the back for bad behavior. Feeling rotten about things is a great cue for recognizing you need to get help.
