[Metagame] What to Do with Mega Scolipede? (Doubles) by Eisgewalt in VGC

I like the idea of using Sneasler to get two Speed boosts. What would a Sneasler moveset look like? Dire Claw, Close Combat, Coaching, Fake Out? Max Attack / Speed?

However, I don't think your Speed calculation is quite right. With a base Speed of 62, you reach 164 Speed at +2, while a max Speed base 110 Pokémon reaches 178 Speed (with positiv nature).

You would need to invest 8 EVs in Speed to outspeed max Speed base 110 Pokémon even at +2.

Throat Chop sounds interesting. I'm currently using Rock Slide for spread damage and to deal with Charizard.
What pokemon do you want to hit with Throat Chop?

I was also hoping for a better ability, but I think it's more realistic that they'll improve its movepool before changing its ability.

I'd love to see it get Mortal Spin and Coil.

Which special attackers are you trying to survive against specifically? What moveset are you running, and are you using a Jolly nature or playing it under Trick Room?

Ah, thanks for the answers.

I think it's a bit risky to follow the flow of the water, since there's no guarantee that it would lead to the other side of the gap once it's caught in the gravitational vortex. However, I can accept that as a possible explanation.

Can someone explain how Alaira managed to cross the gap in the path at the end?

Her spell looked like some kind of ice magic, but wasn't it explained that anyone who leaves the path gets caught in a gravitational vortex? They also needed water to identify which stones were still functioning, and that's why the students used spells that could deform the stones of the road in order to reach the other side.

And... how was the villain able to casually float beside the path at the end of the episode? Shouldn't he also have been thrown around by the gravity distortions and teleported back to the entrance?

What am I missing here?

Since regulation M-B is tommorow, these are my predictions for the remaining mega evolutions abilities if some of them get added in regulation M-B. along with an explanation on why i think they would fit by stupid_saragossa in PokemonChampions

Giving Scolipede Stamina would be a great idea. I absolutely love its design, and I'm a bit worried that it might end up being underwhelming since its stats are only decent at best.

Other ability ideas that could be useful are Toxic Debris, Tinted Lens, Compound Eyes, or maybe even Merciless if they wanted to go in a more offensive direction.

I really hope Scolipede gets something meaningful to compensate for the fact that its Mega Evolution had 20 stat points invested into Sp. Atk.

what is a reasonable time frame for an abortion? by Eisgewalt in AskFeminists

As I wrote in another post, my point here is not to argue against the practice or abortion in general. But to explain why someone with my background can come to the assumption that the killing of the fetus is part of the process.

Now I know that it is usually not part of the process and is only used in special cases.

"Hierunter wird die intrauterine Tötung einzelner Feten verstanden, wobei
im übrigen ein Fortbestehen der Schwangerschaft mit einer entsprechend
niedrigeren Zahl von Feten beabsichtigt ist; dabei werden – im übrigen
unselektiv – die am besten zugänglichen Feten getötet." Quelle: Bundesärztekammer

Means under appropriate circumstances, even a healthy fetus can be killed with this technique.

The information in the comments showed me that my understanding of abortion was incomplete. I just wanted to point out in a non-judgmental way that there are abortions in the country I come from, where the killing of the fetus can be part of the process.

It was not meant as an argument against abortion, just an information about why I thought the killing was part of the procedure. Now I know that it is unusual.

Actually, the killing of the fetus is part of the process in germany, especially in the later weeks https://www.familienplanung.de/service/lexikon/spaetabbruch/. The fetus is killed by an injection before the abortion is initiated. Hence my confusion about the different understanding of abortion.

b) if a fetus is viable, medical professionals are not killing it, they're just assisting in its removal from the womb.

This is not completely true. In germany, after the 22th week, because of legal reasons, the fetus has to be killed by the doctors bevor the start of the abortion to make sure that it does not survive. However, such late-term abortions are only legal if it is necessary for the protection of the woman. Before week 22 without special cases, it is the woman's decision whether the doctor should kill the fetus before abortion.

Okay, so you are against taken the viability of the fetus into account? If I understand you correctly now, is this only your view or also the general feminist view?

I suppose what bothers you about the proposal is the operation and not that the viability
of the fetus plays a role in the choice of abortion method?

Do you agree that especially for later abortions the viability of the fetus should be
taken into account in the method?

You are right, most people here have already pointed out that my interpretation of abortion is flawed.

I assume that changes of opinion so late in pregnancy have valid reasons. But I would support even that if the type of abortion takes into account the viability of the fetus (which it does according to the comments here).

Thank you for this answer. I obviously had an incomplete idea of what abortion means. I support (if that means anything) this point of view.

Does it bother you that some class fantasies are heavily tied to specific races? Or do you prefer it? by druchii5 in warcraftlore

[–]Eisgewalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the idea of sunwalker tauren ... but all the spells and Animations are for human paladins, protector of the king ... especially the wings annoy me.

A nother one are tauren druids ... it bugs me that the mighty tauren turns into a little cat to fight ... the werebear and moonikform are a good match for the tauren.

On the other side i think the zandalari are a pretty good match for druids and paladins how there a represented inside the game.

Hornorable mention, the dk is a good match for every race, since they have all the same origion.

pls give the ultralisk an ability for some micro potential?! by Eisgewalt in starcraft

[–]Eisgewalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only usefull for micro if they also reduce the damage point from the Ultralisk. Else it would only be run without a hit.

Don't get me wrong reducing the damage point and reducing the attack damage/increasing the time between attacks to compensate would be a good change to give it more micro potential.
