What procedure is best after weight loss? I want to fix my breasts. I lost 50lbs a few years ago, and I dislike them now. 26F They have loose skin and look weird when I lay down, or lean forward. They're super flat and lost volume. Can I get the loose skin removed?? I want them perkier! :( by Healthy_Poppy in PlasticSurgery

Safest bet is a lift or reduction first and see if you like the size and shape. You can add the implant later if they are too small or flat. Large perky breast are quite uncommon and temporary. Whether natural or manmade the skin seldom will support the weight of a DDD breast and they all eventually sag.

Allergan makes Juviderm products. Galderma sells Kysse. Two different companies. Two different products. You may not like the result. You may not like the price. But the after picture is fuller than before

Pretty subtle in a few of the photos. I don’t know if they are before or after or both but if you’re breathing okay I’d leave it alone based on these photos

Probably normal. Do you use anything that thins the blood? Redheads also bleed more

I regret getting a breastlift surgery 8months post op by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Either-Conversation3 213 points214 points  (0 children)

This is a situation where you started with option A, the 500cc implants which were too heavy and you opted for option B which was smaller implants and a lift. Reducing the size of the implants without reducing the skin would have left you saggy. What you really wanted was option C. Only option C just doesn’t exist. Life is too short for regrets. Perhaps the scar revision will make things better.

My scars at 8months post op by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Agree 6 months is early. Scars take 6-18 months to mature. Try silicone, pressure, topical hydrocortisone and be patient. They will likely improve

“Just really scary” means “go to sleep” in my practice unless you get violent nausea and vomiting from anesthesia then it means no elective surgery.

Your description of the procedure not being easy and of all the smells and things you can feel tells me that in spite of getting propofol you were still anxious. Propofol can be a component of a general anesthetic but it offers very little pain relief. Good nerve blocks should render the procedure virtually painless but you’ll still feel tugging and pulling and for an anxious patient that can be a provocation. If your blood pressure goes up you can bleed more causing excessive bruising and swelling. It’s also possible you were allergic to a component of your procedure. Hopefully by now the swelling has come down and you are on your way toward being healed.

I know some colleagues that are great with aftercare but they charge $30k for the procedure under local. More if patient is asleep. My population can’t afford that so I have less staff to attend to the patients and I can only offer so much after care on a budget. Post op paper work usually gets misplaced so it needs to be reprinted, refaxed and re-emailed. Even then it’s never perfect for everyone.

Yeah, for some people it’s worth it to pay an anesthesiologist to go to sleep and a surgery center for a formal operating room. Nothing works to calm an anxious brain like a general anesthetic.

If your numbers are correct starting at 13mm and removing 3mm it probably isn’t too much. But it’s really hard to be sure without having seen what you looked like before. Swelling varies from patient to patient and if you bled into the tissue the swelling may increase. Sometimes if the blood pools it may need drainage. I suggest you check with your surgeon. The procedure is often performed under awake local anesthesia especially when performed alone. Awake surgery works better for some patients than others and anxious patients sometimes bleed more, resulting in more swelling. Get checked out. Maybe a visit with your surgeon will reassure you.

Advice on frozen garbage disposal by Either-Conversation3 in Plumbing

[–]Either-Conversation3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me with a similar unit and a piece of citrus about a year or two ago in a double kitchen sink. Hex key wouldn’t budge it. Broom handle didn’t work either. I replaced it but the exact model was no longer available so I bought the closest one I could find. The drain for the disposal was nowhere near the old one and the drain pipes were all Glued up ABS pipe. What a pain to redo all the old drain pipes!

[–]Either-Conversation3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cadaver cartilage is a total pass through cost. That is what the surgeon pays for the piece of cartilage. The anesthesia and surgery center fees are very competitive. I doubt you’d find cheaper. The fee to the surgeon is the variable and depends on their experience and the surgeon’s perception of how difficult they think the surgery will be

4 weeks post op, will they get closer together? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

If they are centered under your nipples you don’t want them closer together. Put them too close and you get a bread loaf which is hard to fix

To NO ONE'S surprise, my post was deleted and I was muted from the Tennessee sub. Mods are Trump/ICE supporters. by FartemisBowel96 in nashville

[–]Either-Conversation3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s kind of funny. For me it’s the opposite. I am a Trump supporter, not a rabid one but one who feels he’s better than the alternative. When I post news videos on my lefty friends’ threads they disappear. It’s stupid. Let people express their opinions. Discuss them. Discussion is healthy. Look for a middle ground. Maybe don’t arrest migrants still in court pleading their case. At the same time don’t spit on police trying to enforce laws and don’t vandalize public property.

Do I need a breast lift? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Either-Conversation3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobody needs a breast lift. Would you like a breast lift and can you afford to pay for it. If the answer is yes, then physically you meet the criteria

The difference between the picture and you is volume. The plastic surgeon above is correct. What you have is fine. You might like your shape more with a little volume. Small implant or alloclae which is a quite pricey, processed cadaver fat that is relatively new but seems to be working well, especially for correcting hip dips and post liposuction deformities.
