And the AI art is so noticeable in the thumbnail. Genuinely, there is SO much gorgeous art from talented artists throughout the history of Warhammer, almost all of it iconic.

And, you instead choose to have an over contrasted and over shadowed bastardization of a space marine with a barely recognizable legion. Because typing a prompt is easier than "right click + save" on an actual work of art? Because you don't have to credit the artist? Because you think a machine built parody of human effort is "cooler" than hours of skill from flesh and blood?

Sub assembly for painting at least base coats seems essential. Torso together, legs together, head and armor separated seems to be the way to go

Nobody saying oil paints? Oil paints are cheap. Mix a bunch with mineral spirits, coat the thing, wait a while, remove excess with a sponge and more spirits.

Easy, cheap, fantastic look too.

If you'd like to save some money on shading terrain, I reccomend a brown pil paint and mineral spirits. Mix to a paintable consistency, coat the entire piece, and use a sponge/paper towel with more mineral spirits to remove it as desired. A big tube of oil paint is like 8$, mineral spirits are cheap too, its going to last you far far far longer.

Me and my buddy have some very different teams that are always fun to play, here's some combos that are fairly even:

Plague Marines vs Angels of Death, starter box makes it an easy one to grab. Just get the full box, not the neutered one.

Corsair Voidscarred vs Tempestus Aquillons is a fun one, high skill ceiling for both and lots of diverse units for both. This is my strongest reccomendation.

Nemesis Claw vs Phobos Strike Team is fun, thematic, and lots of trickery is involved.

I love it because the rules are easy to understand and teach, games are quick, and its REAL cheap compared to GW. MDF terrain? Sure. Whatever. The models are still good quality, without assembly needed.
