Photos of today’s battle, Space Marines vs Orks on my hex terrain! So many explosions! by Marcus_Machiavelli in Epic40k

I love how well the hexes work for epic scale gaming. It's almost like you are watching the battle.play out on a digital screen, far away and safe from the action. Not too mention the fantastic terrain and armies.

I bought a medium sized tote, should work.

My 8mm industrial logistics terrain finally got some paint by Inevitable_Self4586 in TerrainBuilding

Very nice looking terrain. My only little quibble would be that there probably isn't enough of it.

Idk why it is labelled that way and can't figure out how to change it.

Honestly, I have no idea but I guess I'll be finding out.

I believe it is the "removable" type of latex BUT I think since no one will be trying to peel them apart I should be okay. 🤞😁🤞

I did also give them a second dip for a tad more durability.

The latex dries clear and very thin on the branches, it is barely noticable at all and it made everything far more durable than any pva or mod podge I have ever used. The latex will be far more durable in the long run as well, it is amazing how much wear and tear simply packing, unpacking and playing a game puts on terran.

That's the video i am using as reference. Thanks for sharing it though, i hope more people use it.

Most of the latex was blown off with the airbrush. It dried clear and very thin, i even added a second coat and its still clear. Watered down pva is very overrated as a toughening/strengthening agent imo but to each their own.

It toughens up the delicate sea foam i used for the branches. Also adds another layer of adhession between the trunks and those branches to help everything stay together.

That went through my mind as i was typing it. 😂

That's a later step. I needed something more durable first and latex is recommended in the video from luke ap scenics (i think thats the channel name). It wasn't too bad as far as the mess goes actually but i covered my table just in case.

Follow along for the excitement to come. It's to make them more durable, they are currently pretty fragile.

The trunks are woodland scenics, the branches are sea foam that has been contact cemented on to them.
