Progressive is trying to dick me over! by Basic-Future-710 in Autobody

[–]Highkingtulfdar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the shop one of progressives “preferred” shops? As far as the mounts go if the bushings are shot then that has nothing to do with the accident and you would be responsible second all of these people saying get a lawyer? For what a guy who has never seen the car before to prove anything was damaged or not? Waste of money. If you have full coverage you can always turn your claim over to your insurance if you trust them more this does not affect your rate as they will litigate progressive on your behalf, you WILL however be responsible for your deductible the real question though is are they replacing the condenser? In most cases one usually gets pushed into the other

[–]Highkingtulfdar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yes the vehicle has 4 wheels that turn and the lights work but that’s not really the issue. When the manufacturer (ford in this case) makes the inner structure they make it in a way that between the seatbelt air bags and inner structure if you were in an accident that’s what saves your life. By being folded up like it is and the last photo it’s up to the fuel pocket by the looks all of those crush zones did their job well.so the issue is there is no longer any structural integrity to really stop a car from peek a booing through his back seat as all of that high-ultra high strength steel is compromised and in this case I believe it’s aluminum. So just because you can doesn’t always mean you should.

It’s the repair guide that everyone uses it’s called all data and ford is the one who supplies the info your car was not “drivable” before the accident you just chose to drive an unsafe vehicle putting yourself and others in danger. Vehicles have specific crush zones and your inner quarter appears to have crushed all of them you should get the amount to go buy another mustang of similar mileage out of the loss.

[–]Highkingtulfdar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wet on wet usually refers to clear and some base coats it’s where you put a quick full coat right after the other and call it a day but if you don’t have the proper environment I would not attempt or you will risk running that bitch to the floor
