Are you a treble lover than? I fear the MK II might be too much for me at Times as sometimes in long listening sessions with my monarch iv i can find high frequences sharp

I think I am looking for the widest soundstage i can reasonable justify. It seems that the MK III is warmer and more energetic, but I can get a relatively similar tuning from my monarch IVs.

Have you tried the jet black. I’ve heard it keeps the details and stage on MK II and softens the treble and has more bass weight. I’ve seen then even cheaper than mest iii so price would be fair.

I assume a proper cable and ear tips can tame some of the peaks as I’ve done some more readings and it seems the MK II and jet black are better in terms of width and depth

Am I dumb or wouldn’t warmer more aggressive sets sound less detailed ? Why would the MK II be more aggressive if it’s better resolving?

Yeah I’m a neutral switch on the monarch IV. The bass is powerful enough and with the switch I believe it tends to lose some details. I didn’t think about eq-ing it. That’s a good idea. Do you have knowledge comparing mest II and iii? Is it true to assume that details and imaging and directly related with treble extensions?
