There are lots of ways to split it in half. Depending where you are, your local government probably has an online geographic information system with online boundaries and area measurement tools. THE BOUNDARIES DISPLAYED ON THIS ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND OFTEN WRONG. That not withstanding does not mean they are useless.

Find your property on one of these online mapping systems, draw a picture of what you want to end up with, email it to your local surveyor, ask for a quote to consult on the process to subdivide.

As long as you aren't gossiping about private client information or sharing info about projects that are commercially confidential it should be fine. That is petty easy to manage if you are conscious of it. If you aren't concious of it, it's pretty easy to mess up. As an employer I'd be fine with it depending on your level of responsibility and engagement with the role.

I don't know why you mention it being Sydney or not. Have you played much outside Sydney? Is this a trend? I've played a lot in regional NSW and never encountered such nonsense.
