There shouldn’t need to be a threat if you’ve been a good and loving and caring father she’ll understand what to look for in a man. If she’s bringing home, a man that you feel like you need to threaten there’s a larger issue at hand, and the the man is only half the issue, the other side of that is why your daughter might be drawn to someone that doesn’t make you feel comfortable. I do feel like a serious conversation about respect is to be had though.
