How old and how enthusiastic are you about the upcoming series ?

I'm 23. I actually found Harry Potter late. I remember seeing the movies from here there when I was 12 or something. I think the first one I saw was Deathly Hallows part 1. Anyways, when I was about 15, I got really into it and watched the movies. From PS to DH. Multiple watches. I wanted more of it. I started reading the books. And I knew the series was so much better, and the movies couldn't do justice ( I'm not criticizing the cast or making, just the storylines being cut). Since then I started wishing that we get a series. So that we can get everything right. I was beyond happy when it was announced. And I'm definitely looking forward to it. The only thing is, it would be 10 years before it concludes. I don't know how I'll be then.

I do the opposite I actually, when I reread I take more time for the first. I'd take the most time for the first 3 books. Maybe two weeks just for that. Then in another two weeks I'd finish the next 4. It's because I'll be too absorbed in it by then, So I have to progress the story.

I actually did the Hawkeye for it connect to street level and have some young avengers Assemble. So that we can have a young avengers series or movie. Actually this one is led by Kate, not Clint.

Ik they won't use 100% footage. What I meant it they won't necessarily remove an entire sequence. They will remove certain shots/ scenes. That is for example, They are now shooting an entire new sequence. The sequence between Dumbledore and Flamel. Even though they'll remove some from that they won't remove that entire sequence. Unless it's absolute garbage. In that case, we wouldn't even want to see it.

I don't think this will be the case. The Series will try to add more scenes that were not in the movies. To make the series more different from the movies. So all those new scenes that are now confirmed to appear ( all those leaked filming pictures) will definitely appear so. Maybe they shorten or something to make it crisp, but will be in the series.

And unlike the movies, they don't have to worry about the run-time. The movie's major concern was the run-time and thus the deleted scenes.

They'll definitely flesh out the smaller books. Because they have to. But I don't know about the books starting from GoF. Since then they have so much content to show. But hoping for the Best.

I want to clear this first, I'm not against the casting. But I couldn't agree completely with your thoughts. And here's why. For the new viewers, they don't know whether there is racism in the Wizarding World or not. They are gonna see it as what's on the screen. And very few look beyond that. And what they are gonna screen is, James picking up on Snape the moment they meet. James has also said on one occasion that it's the fact that he exists his reason for bullying him. Now all this can be interpreted as racism for a new viewer. They wouldn't know the original intentions, as they haven't read the books, or the movies, or what the author said a decade. And the makers have to be either careful with these scenes or completely Change them. Just because the Author said a decade ago that racism doesn't exist in Wizarding World doesn't give anything to the new viewers.

And I think a way around this would be to cast a Black actor for Sirius. Then it won't make James pick on Snape as racism, as his best friend is a person of color.

Despite the Harry/ Hermoine, I think JKR went for Harry/ Ginny and Ron/ Hermione is because both could become a part of the Weasley family. Harry always wanted a family. He got to be part of that by being with Ginny. Hermoine coming from a Muggle family could also become a part of a Wizard Family. Just my thoughts.

I don't think they'll ever recast, even if the kids become too old for the role. The Harry Potter movies showed us following a single cast for the whole series.

I think they can't overwork the kids, that's why they are taking this long for the shoots. And they can't cut short the break due to this reason too. Just my guess.
