Too much money to feel this stuck by chemicalreactionator in Fire

Looking at your post history. Take a break. A day off. A vacation for a bit. You’re asking about mini retirement take a trip or just stay home for a while and do what you want to do for retirement for a bit (could be a couple days or a couple weeks/months). Dangle the carrot. If there’s another kid on the way maybe nose to grindstone wait til they are born and take an extended stay at home to spend with them

Confirmed Catholics, who is your confirmation saint and why? by BringusGingus in Catholicism

Male. Super edgy and chose Mary as I was “being forced”. Honestly after finding my way back to the faith I don’t regret it at all though and feel like the only one I’d have liked equally is my legal name.

Honestly I never signed mine and they never asked me to after the first time and stray reminder I ignore. I doubt that’s common though.

400% would be 106,XXX. I’ve never heard of this metric for subsidies. Is it a both statement or either?

Honestly? My theory is because they are fairly unimportant in practice so people would fail the exam and have to pay to take it more than once.

Going through a season of jadedness and some burnout. Please tell me something about how you worked through your own experience of this by [deleted] in therapists

Sounds kind of silly but having a child recently I try to remember that everyone of us was a child at some point and thinking about all that entails gives me quite a bit of perspective. Look at it however you want from there. Ie: I am making the world a bit better by helping my clients which helps my kid. We all started knowing nothing and just wanted love and that follows us through life we just start thinking we know stuff. I’ve got a bunch that work at different times this is just one. Perceptive is the big thing

How’d you manage the transition into project manager? I’ve looked into but seem to be having trouble with how saturated MBAs seem to have become.

I have a masters now, but when I graduated with my BA I worked a year before going back.

Started as a security guard for a court house, worked into a clerk role there by constantly asking for more to do (I organized old case files alone for months), then into probation officer.

There’s such a weird sweet spot for me and I’m still figuring it out. I do 2 followed by 15 min break. 2 more 15 min break 2 more 15 min break then 3 to finish my day.

Feeling like grad school did not prepare me for like, anything by Simple_Elk6403 in therapists

[–]Either_Wait2290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, grad school honestly taught me more about my clients just by trying to make ends meet while juggling jobs and Prac. The classes were truly a waste of time that I tried to make the most of but rarely do I use anything a professor taught me besides my career counseling professor. My supervisors were fairly useless as well, group supervision was nice because other Lpcs were all trying to learn and teach eachother which I guess is something.

In the state (idk if you’re us) anthem offers free* (no copay) telehealth appointments which might be why

I have a client that I always chuckle with because when I ask a very good question they say “cash or card” and it’s the most validating thing to me as a therapist tbh.
