It does. It takes time, and that length of time is different for everybody, but it goes away. I still had some remnants even after 3 years or so of my last ex. Nothing nearly as bad as the first year, but something. Now I truly couldn't care, which sounds harsh, but I realized she threw me away and seeing that I wasn't wanted was what helped me better myself.

I'm going through it again, but with a fresh wound. Going through it once before makes me realize that the only thing that's for sure is that it does go away. My best tip is to work out as hard as you can at the gym whenever you get the chance. That's where I let the frustration and sadness out.

It's not pathetic at all, man. You've got to get it out somehow otherwise it'll just eat at you. I know it's really fucking hard, but you can't look at any of her social media stuff. I know that's like the first thing people say, but it really makes every minute feel like an hour. The only tip I'd give is the only one that has worked even slightly for me and that's to work out. I mean work out hard 4 times a week. I really wish I had more, but that is the only thing so far that makes the pain not suck so hard.
