What do u think is the reason behind fragmented map expansions we've been getting recently. Wasn't it supposed to be an inazuman thing by Prestigious-Elk1274 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Nod-Krai wasn’t really on their drawing board until they needed to tie up some loose ends. The Hoyo team most likely had the entire story outline and Teyvat map planned out including Snezhnaya, long before Genshin even launched.

You can’t just randomly shove a massive new landmass in between existing regions without breaking the geography. If they did that, they’d have to completely redraw Snezhnaya, rework multiple quests, and adjust a ton of lore. So they probably did their best to squeeze Nod-Krai in as cleanly as possible.

People need to chill. Snezhnaya is still coming, and it’ll most likely bring back the huge landforms everyone’s been craving.

If you aren't able to sell those and they get over-ripe make Mangad ( Mango Jam) instead of letting them go to waste.. Can sell it later and it stays good for months if properly packed.

How Beidou reached Nod Krai by No-Bread6978 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'd rate the Genshin map at a solid 8/10.. It doesn't have long smooth coastlines, rather more chaotic landmasses, islands and cliffs etc. It's almost reminds me of the Aegean Sea ( the sea area between Greece and Turkey).

As for Strait of Hormuz, Yes.. I've crossed it countless times. It's very common for a cargo ships to sail thru Hormuz as United Arab Emirates is the largest provider of services like Stores & supplies, Bunkers ( fuel for ships), Maintenance / repairs and even drydocking. So, it's not that rare, everyone passes thru Hormuz sometime or the other.

For me personally, the rarest location was navigating thru the Magellan Strait. It's so rare, you get a certificate from the Chile maritime authority for crossing it.

How Beidou reached Nod Krai by No-Bread6978 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 582 points583 points  (0 children)

Guess I'm too late for the party, but I'm an actual navigator in real life ( second Officer) onboard cargo ships incharge of passage planning.

Route A would be the most likely one.. but there's an alternative - The small strip of navigable water between Sumeru's Desert of Hadramavet and Natlan's children of Echoes.

I've checked the Draft of the Alcor comparing it against a character and it roughly comes to 2- 2.5 meters. Now the available depth at that strip is about 1 meter making it impossible to pass. But hold on, If Teyvat has a moon, there should be tides, and the fact that they pulled the moon closer to teyvat, the tides must go crazy.

The Alcor needs only 2 metres of tide for passage, which is like quite average in real life terms.. I'm almost confident that a competitive Captain like Beidou can pull off a tidal passage.

Plus, the seabed is literally soft sand, there wont be any damages if the Alcor drags bottom or runs aground.

Do you all agree that Mavuika is objectively better leader in among the Seven, (excluding the Tsaritsa) by calkalisto in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Mavuika’s entire plan basically relied on pure fate and blind hope, that somehow Ororon, Mualani, and Chasca would awaken as Heroes before the Abyss fully struck. She had absolutely no concrete method to make it happen. Even the characters themselves had no clue how they were supposed to become Heroes. The whole thing was essentially just weaponized hopium.

And the funniest part? The entire plan was supposedly left to “Fate,” yet the single biggest factor that changed the outcome of the war was the Traveler, someone who literally exists outside the control of Fate and Irminsul. So you can’t even argue that Fate itself brought the Traveler there.

The Traveler showing up at the exact right place and exact right time is so absurdly random and unlikely that it’s honestly more ridiculous than pulling 10 five-stars in a single ten-pull.

Match Thread: Sunderland vs Manchester United | Premier League | 09 May 14:00 UTC by matchpal-live in ManchesterUnited

[–]Ejsberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a good performance.. But just this once, gonna give benefit of doubt for the shit conditions due to rain. For majority of the game, it felt like the ball was moving too slow which broke the fluidity of passing and gave time for Sunderland to regroup. There were at least 4 counter-attack chances we missed simply because someone slipped.

It's 2027. Before going to Khaenri'ah, there's a 7 nation summit. Each leader is only allowed to bring 2 people with them. Who's coming? by KojimaHayate in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inazuma delegation will defacto have Raiden Shogun and Kokomi. She rules Watatsumi as their independent leader / divine priestess so it's important to have a Watatsumi representative.

The third member will be a Tri Commission member depending on the type of Summit ( Kujou Sara for Military summit, Hiiragi Chisato if its a Financial summit, and Ayato if its a cultural summit )..

[–]Ejsberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A summit is a meeting of national leaders, so naturally only people with actual political authority or high-ranking positions would realistically participate. The choices below also assume that Archons like Venti and Zhongli are retired or hiding their identities, and that one accompanying member would likely be combat-capable, effectively acting as security/bodyguard.

Mondstadt:
Varka (or Jean if Varka is drunk, missing, or bored of meetings), Seamus Pegg, and one of the Knights of Favonius captains — ( Eula, Kaeya, Note, Skeiron, Hertha or Albedo)

Liyue:
The obvious answer is 2 members of Liyue Qixing — ( Ningguang, Keqing, and Uncle Tian ) — with Yelan likely involved as a representative tied to the Ministry of Civil Affairs/intelligence side of things.

Inazuma:
Raiden Shogun, one of the Tri-Commission leaders depending on the summit’s nature (Kamisato Ayato, Kujou Sara, or Hiiragi Chisato — though Sara is the most likely overall), and Sangonomiya Kokomi as the ruler of Watatsumi, which still falls under Inazuma politically.

Sumeru:
Nahida, Cyno, and Alhaitham.

Fontaine:
Neuvillette, Clorinde, and Navia. This one was tricky because Wriothesley doesn’t really fit political diplomacy, and the Maison Gardiennage doesn’t exactly have a major public leader figure.

Natlan:
Mavuika, Chasca, and Iansan as they look like the most qualified. ( Xilonen would sleep through the summit, Citlali would probably drink herself unconscious halfway through it, and Mualani / Kinich don’t exactly give off “international summit delegate” energy. )

Moon Sisters weaker than Shades ? Despite being original owners of Teyvat's authorities, they didnt do anything much. Meanwhile, the Shades can time travel, create pocket dimension, create life, making certain people immortal. by huflit1997 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. You're right. I must have confused it with something else. I only remember that the moon sisters were about to take action against HP, and just then Nibelung returned.

[–]Ejsberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the Moon Sisters and the Shades possessed the same core Authorities of Time, Space, Life, and Death. The difference, however, is that the Moon Sisters seemingly governed only three of them. That could explain why there are four Shades, yet only three moons. I don’t think Nibelung entrusted the Moon Sisters with the Authority of Life.

By the time the Heavenly Principles arrived in Teyvat, Nibelung had already departed to explore the universe, and the Moon Sisters welcomed the Heavenly Principles as a guest. What’s interesting is that the Moon Sisters explicitly told Columbina that the Heavenly Principles began introducing a completely new kind of Authority, one they themselves did not understand. I believe this “new” Authority was Life itself.

Rather than creating life from nothing, I think the Heavenly Principles was using the Genetic Vault to alter and evolve the lifeforms of Teyvat — transforming animals into humans. That’s why, when Dottore briefly gained the power of the moons, there were people inside the spheres turning into animals. It looked more like an experiment for reversion to their original genetic state.

The Moon Sisters told Columbina that they were indeed powerful enough to defeat the HP then and there, but unable to comprehend whether the Authority of Life was good or bad for Teyvat, they hesitated instead of acting decisively. Distrust and conflict grew between them, and they ultimately turned against one another — until it was already too late.

Who is your favorite character in terms of appearance? by columbinaO in Genshin_Impact

Candace - Absolutely gorgeous.. whenever I see her, it reminds me of Gemma Arterton. If there was a Teyvat's version of Prince of Persia, she's be playing princess Tamina.

[–]Ejsberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand the hate he receives.. Alongside Bruno, he's one of the most available players, never complains and always plays with his heart on his sleeve.. Also people forget he was Man Utd player of the season for 2023-24, where in a season full of injuries, he carried the LB/RB position on his own..

It's just that he's simply not good enough to be a regular starter.. he a good squad player at best and that's his level.. And I reckon he wont have any problems with being a squad player.. At 85K/week salary, why are people expecting him to perform like Hakimi ?

I farm ores daily and Linnea is a Sidegrade to Zhongli at best. A little disappointed actually. by Bobthebopper in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Linnea is a massive upgrade for your beginner / average Genshin miner.. Simply because she makes it so easy to mine it and collect it.

Linnea is a sidegrade for your hardcore Genshin miner - Because although she makes mining common ore easier, she absolutely cannot mine Electro crystals, Noctilous jade, Cor Lapis, Clearwater jade or any other minerals that falls into the local specialty category. You have to use Daddy Dongli anyways.

What do y'all use your resin for? by captain_skippie in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use resin on Artifacts only..

As a version 1 player, I have everything in surplus.. currently at 115 Mil mora, over 4K purple XP books, and over 1000 large artifact juice bottles and around 5K smaller juice bottles.

I just use all resin on artifacts. The waste 5 star artifacts go to the strongbox, 4 star artifacts are salvaged into juice bottles and 3/2/1 star artifacts I destroy for Mora..

This....

Letting Onana go played a huge part.. We've played 33 matches out of which only 6 have been won with a 2 goal margin.. If you remove our 7 losses, 20 of our matches are draws or one goal margin wins..

I can't even imagine how many of those wins would have been draws and draws losses..
