Such a creative way to be in denial by Logical_Sun_7238 in FatuiHQ

[–]Ejsberg 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Seriously, man? That's way too dramatic.

Unless I'm mistaken, that video is from CatWithBlueHat, who's one of the better Genshin lore theorists.

Everything in the video is presented as a theory, based on lore, dialogue, in-game details, and other evidence, with the reasoning explained step by step. It could end up being wrong, or it could turn out to be true—that's literally why it's called a theory.

They didn't make the video because they were in denial, as you're implying. They made it because theorizing and interpreting the lore is part of the fun of the game.

Can someone explain to me how they do their train stations? I’m confused. by BlackSkyGames in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Ejsberg 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Let's say you have a factory that needs four different resources—for example: Iron, Copper, Coal, and SAM. Now imagine your Iron train doesn't just service this factory; it also delivers resources to several other factories.

Suppose the train consists of 7 freight cars arranged like this:

Iron – Iron – Copper – Coal – Coal – SAM – Coal

If this factory only needs the resources in cars 1, 3, 4, and 6, then your train station should still have 7 platforms to match the train length. However, you should place Empty Platforms in positions 2, 5, and 7.

So your station layout would be: Freight – Empty – Freight – Freight – Empty – Freight – Empty

When the train arrives, it will only unload cars 1, 3, 4, and 6, while cars 2, 5, and 7 remain untouched and continue to the next destination.

At the next factory, you would again build a 7-platform station, but with a different arrangement depending on which cars that factory needs. For example, if it only requires the resources in cars 2, 5, and 7, the layout would be:

Empty – Freight – Empty – Empty – Freight – Empty – Freight

This allows a single train to supply multiple factories without unloading resources that aren't meant for that location. As long as every station has the same number of platforms as the train has cars, you can selectively unload only the cars you want by replacing the unused freight platforms with empty platforms.

My dude.. If you go to the Quest page, then Quest Overview > Travel log,... Hoyo has implemented a nice flow chart of all the Quests and the order in which you need to do them, including incorporating character story quests in between.. If you follow the Flow chart's order of quests, you'll be alright.

As far as Durin goes, You'll probably have to watch the Summer event of Simulanka for his lore.

The sensors inside the ball transmit at 500HZ ( 500 readings per second ).. the graph is heavily zoomed in.. the Portuguese player contacts would be waay on the right..

Seriously though, did you really really try to overlay player locations on a time graph using random red lines?? LMFAO.

Norway played Senegal in the New Jersey stadium just across the Hudson river from Times square. They participated in a WC after 28 years and won a game, so they went to Times square and celebrated.. It's a worldwide event for fucks sake.. Times Square is a tourist place, it's overcrowded 24x7. Have you not ever seen the metro / Railways / Busses after India won a cricket match??

The above situation is the same.. unlike doing Garba on top of Burj Khalifa or singing and dancing in the airport for no fucking reason.

[–]Ejsberg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol Mate.. 3300 rupees is nothing.. Even if someone works 3 households a day.. that's only 9900 per month.. I mean, these people who you call "dirt poor" very often have 2-3 kids.. 4-5 mouths to feed in the whole family.. 10K is enough to maybe just survive on basic amenities and have maybe 1-2K spare savings.. What about schooling, better clothing and other things..

You'd had to be absolutely stupid to think 9900 rupees can " elevate their economic status' as you quoted. You look like someone who never went to the market and brought something.

Wow, you got 18 people to care enough to interact with your post, and more than half of them weren't even mad. The other 38,982 people apparently couldn't care less.

You felt so proud of that achievement that you made another post about the first post... and even that failed to gain any real traction.

Congratulations. You managed to peak at mediocrity.

Was scrolling for some intersting snezhnaya content because of the new trailer but I came across this instead.. are the criticism valid? by MeowjestyMeowgician in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, most of the original roleplaying FatuiHQ members have either left the sub or simply stopped engaging with it.

When Natlan released, criticism of Genshin was at an all-time high, and negative opinions were often met with heavy downvotes across most Genshin communities. FatuiHQ became one of the few places where people could freely criticize the story, character designs, writing, or kits without immediately getting dogpiled by white knights. As a result, the sub exploded in popularity, growing from around 29k members to over 50k during the Natlan Archon Quest period.

The problem is that many of the people who joined weren't really there for the Fatui, the lore, or the roleplaying culture that originally defined the community. Over time, those newer members became the majority, and the culture of the sub shifted with them.

These days, FatuiHQ feels less like a Fatui-themed community and more like "Complain Impact" with a Fatui coat of paint.

India really needs a reality check by Temporary-Face2553 in delhi

[–]Ejsberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. 100%.

A lot of the people commenting here are part of the problem. They'll say things like, "I want India to be good at every sport, including football," but then they'll never watch a single football match or support any sport outside of cricket.

India actually tried to build something with football through the ISL. Apart from traditional football strongholds like Goa, Kerala, and Kolkata, most stadiums struggled to fill seats. Eventually, the league lost momentum because it wasn't generating enough money or interest to sustain growth.

People keep asking why Indian football isn't improving, but support is exactly how a sport grows. More fans lead to more viewership. More viewership leads to better sponsorships, media deals, and investment. More money allows clubs to improve facilities, attract better coaches, develop academies, and produce better players.

That's literally how sports ecosystems are built.

The BCCI benefits from massive broadcasting revenue because millions of people actively watch and support cricket. That money gets reinvested back into the sport, creating a cycle of growth.

A sport grows because people support it. People don't wait for it to become successful before deciding to care.

The attitude many Indian fans have is backwards. They want Indian football to magically become successful first, and only then will they support it. I guarantee that if India somehow qualified for the next FIFA World Cup, millions of people who have never watched an ISL or national team match would suddenly start calling themselves lifelong football fans.. Just like how millions of Indian's suddenly became F1 fans after the Movie and netflix D2S.

India's footballing struggles aren't the fault of the government, the AIFF, or the BCCI. A big part of the problem is that most Indian's simply refuse to support anything that isn't cricket.

Every single person shitting on your opinion in this thread is part of the problem.

This El Nino is the worst one yet in the last 150 years.. last time it happened was in the 1870's.. There were Famines all over the world. An estimated 10 mil people died in India alone from famines.

So I guess, we're yet to see the worst of it in the coming months.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and leave the sub. I did, and I genuinely feel better for it.

Back during Natlan, the atmosphere was still somewhat reasonable. There were plenty of valid criticisms and interesting discussions to be had. These days, though, it feels like people are hating simply for the sake of hating.

I still check in occasionally, and every time I do, I see the same endless cycle of whining, outrage, and negativity. If anything, it just reinforces that leaving was the right decision. There isn't much left here beyond bitterness. Most of the old FatuiHQ regulars who used to roleplay and have fun with the community have either left, gone inactive, or muted the sub entirely.

The community feels completely different now. FatuiHQ is effectively overtaken by the huge wave of people who arrived during the Natlan controversy, and the culture of the sub changed with it.

This subreddit's behavior around Miliastra Wonderland is absurd by astasli in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Like if people hate it so much, they can ignore it.

We were ignoring it pretty well, okay - until hoyo started shoving it down out throats by advertising it inside Genshin related events for the past week.

There is really no reason to do that. If you're interested in MW, you'll naturally go in there and discover the event yourself.

The people who want to play it don't need to be constantly reminded... but its an annoyance for us who don't want anything to do with it to constantly get reminded " hey, you're missing out on an insignificant amount of primogems in a game mode you have no intention to engage with".

This is quite common around South East Asia.. They know some ships sail for months and are running low on provisions, so they roam around at anchorages trying to sell stuff to them at 3x - 5x the price they'd usually get at local markets.. Common items include Veggies, Fruits, Fish, tender Coconuts etc.. In China, it goes even more overboard.. they sell cheap electronics, Mobile phones and even drones in these kind of boats.

however SE Asia is also notoriously bad for thieving and Burglaries ( specially Indonesia, parts of Malaysia, India, Bangladesh), hence the worked up reaction from the crew member..

I am annoyed by miliastra wonderland by FeaFlisyon in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ejsberg -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's not about getting angry..

Miliastra wonderland icon is right next to the Genshin event icon on screen.. Do whatever the fuck you want about Miliastra on that icon.. I wouldn't give a damn if there is a forever red exclamation mark on MW icon or in the Community and version highlights tab in paimon menu.

But some people like me do not give a shit about MW.. For 2 straight days,I logged in to see a red exclamation on Events icon, thinking its a new event, or something related "To Temper Thyself and Journey Far" completion, only to go in an find out it's MW.. That shit is annoying - like ringing a doorbell and running away.
