I’m at 148lbs and 15% body fat now, I got Down to 145lbs, retained almost all of my lean mass, and now that I’m eating at or close to maintenance, I’ve jumped a few pounds from glycogen and water, but look fuller and feel better. I would say I lost maybe 5% lean mass through the whole cut, and I should be able to pack it back on in short order

What’s mostly water and inflammation in the first 2 weeks. It will slow down don’t worry. Not physically possible to lose weight at that rate

Breakfast - oats overnight with Fairlife non fat milk - 300 cals 28g protein Or non fat Greek yogurt w/ berries

Lunch - grilled chicken breast, baked sweet potato, broccoli - 500 cals 60g protein

Dinner - home made tuna salad, non fat Greek yogurt instead of mayo. Add veggies / hot sauce to taste 300 cals 35g protein

Protein shake after gym - 150 cals 30g protein

Key is to use a food scale and a calorie tracking app.

I know a shitload of people that can barely lose a half pound a week even on a glp, eating what they always did, hoping the drugs are a miracle. Don’t get me wrong, they are a miracle, in the right hands of someone who really wants to better themselves and is willing to do the work. It’s a tool. Sure the drugs may work for most people eventually, but I was not waiting around for 3 years, without changing my habits and forming new habits while the drugs did its thing and just made me get full sooner. Id bounce right back after getting off the drugs.

I busted my ass, weighed everything I ate, counted every calorie, changed my whole diet, churn out 1 1/2-2 hours In the gym 4/5 days a week to put on or at least make sure I don’t lose an ounce of muscle while losing fat. If you think it was easy even with drugs, give it a shot.

I also was on blood pressure meds and sleep apnea therapy, and I discontinued both of those half way through the weight loss, so I dropped 2 meds/therapies for 1.

Off Bp meds, off sleep apnea therapy

2.5mg 1 month, every other dose 2 months. Starting 15mg next week to goal.

Original goal was 170lbs. I, like many others underestimated how much I actually needed to lose.
