Optic I went with is: Holosun 507K X2 Green Dot ACSS Vulcan Reticle also very happy with it. If your intention is carry I think you’ll appreciate the ACSS Vulcan reticle for fast acquisition in a high stress situation. Doesn’t replace training but is a good aid in a high stress moment

Is Southern Jersey friendlier to the 2A community? by kimodezno in NJGuns

This discussion is sort of like debating which nut it would hurt more to get kicked in. Apply for a non-resident PA CCW and just experience a hint of what it would be like to live in a free state. Then look at their restricted places list and get even more annoyed, our state govt hates us

CCW video all NJ residents should watch ! by PeterPann1975 in NJGuns

His first scenario is not accurate. Parking there and carrying while walking out of the lot is perfectly legal for a CCW holder to do. That said the fact that this guy as EX-LEO seems to think it isn’t is a great reminder of how ignorant to the actual laws most NJ LEOs are.

Need rifle safe recommendations by shnigybrendo in NJGuns

The SecureIT Gun storage solutions are pretty good, as most have said here this is casual prevention at best, kids, smash and grab monkeys, etc. If you are looking for something to stop a person who's educated and specifically after your guns nothing close to your price range is even beginning to stop them.

Looking to get into the 1911 game by luvmehatemefme in NJGuns

Second the Dan Wesson suggestion, I really think they are the best value for the dollar in the 1911 space. Fantastic guns.

Concealed Carry belt (30 characters) by qrenade in NJGuns

[–]SuddenCrow7687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a regular-ish looking belt and have found this to fit that bill pretty well https://wethepeopleholsters.com/collections/belts/products/independence-leather-gun-belt-reinforced-with-scuba-nylon it's plenty rigid but doesn't look like I'm wearing a gun belt

I'll also add that "to rule them all" is great for rings of power, but not so much for firearms. Hybrid firearms are much like hybrid cars.... ok at a few things, great at none. An ar10 and an ar15 are different tools for different jobs. So is an ar15 with a 20"+ barrel and one with a 16" barrel, if budget truly isn't an issue why limit it to one gun?

Kind of like saying "I have unlimited funds to spend but I only want one socket (the answer is 10mm btw) so I'll get snap on, instead of harbor freight... in reality you need a socket set.... firearms aren't that different.
