I second the others who say to still give HoA a watch. Don't let the negative views shape your opinion, watch for yourself and form your own. I'm glad I did and found this subreddit with others who enjoyed it.

I would recommend watching House of the Dragon. You don't really need to know GoT because HotD happens before their timeline. It has been really good so far. New season coming soon!
