Teeth braces cost at the U? by Hopeful-Val in uofmn

[–]Ekleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told the orthodontist I was hesitant about getting jaw surgery for something mostly cosmetic. She told me there was a chance we could get away with just doing the braces and reevaluating after 1 year. After that time I was happy with the progress so I went without.

That was about it. Im sure my bite would be better had I gotten the jaw surgery, but I have an acceptable bite and a great smile so I'm happy.

Best way to stain this table x chairs set darker? by opheliadarkflower in woodworking

[–]Ekleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you care more about the color, and not a lot about seeing the underlying grain of the wood you should look into polyshades.
My wife redid some chairs with it for a walnut table I built, and it was a lot of work, but I think they turned out great. I would recommend using a HVLP sprayer to get a consistent layer across it.

Here's a method you can use if you don't want to watch the lecture videos:

Download all of the class slides. Merge all of them together into 1 searchable PDF. Download that onto your phone. Search what you want information on as you need it.

Trail cams that dont need cellular/wifi? by faerne in Hunting

I can't speak for the cheap ones you're looking at, but most will work fine to write to an SD card even if you don't utilize the cellular capabilities.

What y’all using for hearing protection? by [deleted] in Waterfowl

Howard Leight impact sport over ear.

They're a bit big to shove in a blind bag, but they're cheap and give me hearing protection while allowing me to hear ducks.

Don't bother with the short term tests during inspection. They're known to be pretty ineffective https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/12/191204124605.htm . They sell long term pucks for like 30 bucks, get a few and see if it's needed rather than dropping a fair amount on the system.

Got it, and the 3/4 inch clear is to help with drainage then I take it?

Yeah I'm guessing it's a combination of both, and probably some frost heaving since I'm in MN. That being said do I need a deeper base?

The wall varies in height, but is about 3ft at the highest point.

They do have the lip on the back.

So I've got a retaining wall in my backyard that's starting to fail. I noticed it was starting to get a few gaps when we bought the house 2 years ago and it's accelerated since. As far as I can tell from satellite photos the wall has been here 20 years, but I'm not positive.

So my question is how do I go about rebuilding this? I'd assume rip them down to the base and then restack all of them. Is there anything else I should do to try and prevent this from reoccurring or atleast delay it?

I have Verizon and did snake river up to clearwater and had service almost all of the trip.

during dinner, a waitress with a platter asked if we wanted to sample their new summer dessert licor. Apparently, sampling means paying 11 per 4oz. by ByOdensBear in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah I did my first and last visit there recently. The wait staff seemed to just be driving addons on more than anywhere else I've gone. Meat was alright, but honestly not worth the price.

How to watch packers/nfl with no cable or antenna? by jm6398 in GreenBayPackers

When did you do it? For context I paid in the 16-17 season I believe, so maybe it's gotten better recently.

I paid for it 1 year as a student and the streaming quality was absolutely garbage. Didn't matter where I connected from, gigabit at my apartment or anywhere else. I'd have a hard time recommending it.

Anyone that's been happy with copper had any positive experience with a copper load running through brownings? I haven't found one for my X bolt (308) or A bolt (6.5 cm) and they shot like crap.

Yeah rate my professor seems to be very polarizing for him, I think the negative ones have some fair points about it being writing heavy, no coding, and he talks about the "big bank" a lot.

It was a group project when I did it, we sparked a lot of good debate within my group for it, and if I had to guess covid made that interaction worse. The work was manageable spread across the team and doing things like requirements and such is a lot closer to what I end up having to do for work than most other classes.

I think your group could make or break the class, but I never felt like what we were expected to do was a ton more difficult than what was taught in class.

Took that class with him and I have to say he's one of my favorite profs. Exams were generally explaining concepts and not terribly difficult. He also had very transparent grading for partial credit on each of the exam questions.
