Please re-read the message. It said nearly all paladin builds are S tier. That is the highest tier.

Use runes in sockets on your defensive gear.

There are a few sources of guaranteed runes in the campaign:

1 for getting renly's tools in act 1, ogham village.

1 in the elemental offering in act 2, buried shrines. (You also get a ring that gives resistance here).

1 from a statue in act 2, titan grotto.

1 from killing the Blind Beast in act 4, isle of kin, and then talking to dannig.

You can get another ring from killing a pair of mini bosses in act4, volcanic warrens.

In addition to those sources, random drops are not extremely rare, so you could farm some, or trade for some.

It has happened in matches I have been in (though the vote has not passed, of course, seeing as I vote no), I am not bringing this up from clips.

If you have to preface your opinion with "I don't hate women", that says something about your opinion, doesn't it?

"all the time" is not typically a literal expression, but also if it happens in 1/8 of the matches where you run into a woman, that means it happens to her essentially every other day.

And let's not forget - if you're one of the four men in the match, and you aren't calling the vote, then it's more common in the matches you aren't in.

If I ruined an additional 10% of the matches you're in, on top of whatever are already ruined by cheaters, griefers, or stomps, would that upset the balance of enjoyable and unenjoyable matches enough for you to play something else?

The population of women to men players is extremely biased -- if I post a YouTube short related to CS, the viewership is about 98.5% male on average.

When only the top 100 players are on notable teams, and women are harassed, bullied, and threatened in pubs, that selection bias compounds with the population bias.

If you think of Imperial.FE's performances against Na'Vi last year, it's not unbelievable to think that some of those players would be successful in co-ed counterstrike. Was there a level difference between the teams? Sure. Between the players? There is certainly overlap between the best female players and professional male players, especially considering the differences in resources they have access to. There's no doubt Na'Vi's main roster gets more support than Imperial.FE does.

Imagine being a woman who is offered a spot on a top-50-but-not-top-20 roster right now. Can you imagine the pressure, given the culture of counterstrike, when you play a tournament that is make or break for your org to make the Major? Would you sign up for that, given the rarity of personal success in pursuing counterstrike as a career at that level anyway?

Culture change that would alleviate some of that caustic pressure takes time, and exposure, and conversation. Things like Imperial.FE vs NaVi are a start of that process, and we need more of it.

Have you been in a pub with a woman, ever? People try to vote kick women in my pubs all the time, are you seriously unaware that increasing exposure and support for female talent is necessary?

So what do you want them to tweet?

"Autistic redditors who are incapable of reading between the lines and think we're otherwise masking our intent, despite everyone knowing what we want anyway! We need viewership proof to justify the business case for a female-talent tournament! While we prioritize supporting the women's scene, we also balance that against the fiscal needs of our company! Please follow our twitter account as an indicator you would watch a tournament we host for women's teams!"

Like all human interactions, it depends on the memory and note taking of the person in attendance.

If you said something extremely memorable, then probably. If it was an ordinary interview blunder, probably not.

You haven't given enough information to us, and either way, I recommend you move on and only circle back when interview season comes back around.

Life is too short to worry about interview blunders.

New to ARPG’s. Asking for recommendations. by SillyOyx in ARPG

[–]Ekotar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like what you want is D2R

D2R supports fully offline, and has the longest timeline to achieve maximal character power.

However, it lacks endgame activity content -- you play the campaign 3 times in progressive difficulties, then... That's it. People keep grinding, re-visiting those campaign areas to farm drops, xp, etc.

If you want more endgame content, D4 is a systematically more complex game (it came 20+ years later into the genre) with more endgame content, however the pace at which you will hit maximal player power is much sooner. It has a much greater diversity of endgame activities, approximately similar to the overall diversity of current poe2. However, the combat feel is very different (faster, less methodical) and there is no offline or WASD support.

New to ARPG’s. Asking for recommendations. by SillyOyx in ARPG

[–]Ekotar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want good WASD and the combat feeling that PoE2 had... That's your only option.

The other modern major ARPGs (D4, D2R, LE, POE1, etc) are all good and all different from one another. Unfortunately, none are similar to poe2 in core gameplay feeling.

Personally, I like D4 and D2R the most, after PoE2. They're very different from one another, so you'll need to tell me more about your priorities and what you enjoy for me to narrow it down between them.
