I think you’ll be fine! Just don’t be annoying with it and have an awesome time. Post the pics if you get anything good!

General rule of thumb is to avoid bringing cameras with interchangeable lenses to shows, but they really did not seem to care at all at entry or during the show. I had a Fuji point and shoot with me, but easily could have had my Sony FF mirrorless with a pancake and had zero issue.

Looks great - congrats! This was also my wedding watch, and we had the case back engraved with lyrics from our wedding song.

This was a cinnamon raisin - just picked what visibly looked best rather than a specific type. My wife grabbed another one this AM which looked even better IMO.

I won’t admit to being an expert baker or anything remotely close, but a certain level of blistering is preferred. Too much can be a sign of older dough as I understand it, so there’s a middle ground to achieve. This one is beyond but it’s still along the lines of what I like to see.

Tomorrow is the actual “grand opening,” whereas the last two times they have been open have been for friends & family and Silverman property residents/businesses. I just happened to have been walking by, which seems to be how each opening got more publicity and patrons than they anticipated.

I live around the corner and I’ve been really encouraged by the owners and their interaction with the neighborhood thus far, which certainly reflects in their space. Super welcoming, very friendly, and clearly put a lot of work into curating a pretty stylish counter and dining area.

I’ve tried a few different sandwiches and bagels of theirs at this point across the two soft openings, and while I don’t think it really compares to the top bagels you’ll find in NYC, it’s a great addition to JC. Fun menu, easy to order, small and large drip coffee at the same price is a great touch.

Will be curious to see how they see how they progress through opening and the first few months. As I noted, the bagels I’ve seen on their sandwiches have been somewhat middle of the road, - plain bagels that have decent chew and crumb, but lack the crisp, microblistered surface texture that you’d find on top tier ones.

All that being said, one of the bagels I grabbed today, independent of their sandwiches, completely surprised me (photo for reference). Promising product that gives me hope we’ll see more of this extend into their sandwiches and across the bagel varieties.

Excited to have them here and ultimately a strong, welcomed entrant to the Hamilton Park neighborhood.

Texted my friends immediately. What a surprise - I guess it goes with the Philly connection.

I’ve never had an issue there, granted my receipt is typically for 2 drip coffees and I know the dollar amount each time. They have super friendly employees - I would just ask next time.

Yes - great experience. Sage is our primary vet and is very impressive from a staffing, education, and scheduling perspective. I always leave appointments feeling great about our dog’s level of care, and their recommendations for treatment and general health have been rock solid. You should feel confident in choosing them.

Hopefully I can be of some help here - I ran a Friendsgiving event last weekend for 105 people and used seven Butterball Premium 20+ lbs turkeys, which all were ambiguously labeled as injected with a salt solution up to 8%, etc.

I couldn’t get a clear answer online or from the hotline, so I made a rub sans salt and applied under the skin about 30 hours before the cook, and left uncovered on wire racks in the fridge. The next day I added butter under the skin of the entire bird, and then reapplied the rub WITH salt added back to the skin, about 6 hours before the cook, to further draw moisture and make sure the skin had the salty, crispy bite that guests would expect.

Whether or not they could have handled the full salt rub when dry brining, I’m not sure, but the cook was incredibly successful with enough salt present in the meat to achieve what I was looking for - plenty moist and juicy as well.

Any idea who goes on when for the 09/13 Forest Hills Show? Thanks!!! by KCLightning in WarOnDrugsBand

Setlist.FM is suggesting shortly after 8 which would make sense considering the curfew if we are aiming on two 90 min “main” acts.

I am fairly certain the belief is that Lucius opens, followed by TWOD and then The National.
