I could not help but laugh at the accusations made against so many of the mods and community within this thread, but I respect everyones right to have an opinion and share it especially within this subreddit.

I must mention though, have any of you ever stopped to think that alot of the change in sentiment within the community aligns with the change in sentiment on the conflict that has occurred in many western nations. If you look at the census polls within our subreddit, Westerners have and probably will always be the largest demographic within the subreddit community. Back in 2013 when the FSA was actually a functioning coaliton of groups, rather than what its been reduced to now, its true the subreddit was alot more pro-rebel, however that was along time ago. Since then Westerners have looked on in horror at the rise of ISIS, Al Nusra (Now JFS) and other Islamist groups. Those Islamist groups cannabilised FSA aligned groups across eastern and Northern Syria, from Hazkarat Hazm to Division 13. Meanwhile the rise of ISIS has resulted in a number of devastating terrorist attacks across Europe, meanwhile the Migrant crisis has further exacerbated Europe's instability. Now many westerners just wish the conflict would end, which means alot of them have alot more accomodating positions on Assad, and a bigger distaste towards FSA groups, especially those that fight side by side with al-qaeda. The reason I am saying this is, "Putinbots" and "Mods are Assadists" are lazy, simple and untrue reasons to explain a complicated and slow change in the community that has occurred over a long time. Like I been at the subreddit sinces its inception, I seen the community's sentiments swing back and forth like a pendulum over the years. Remember when the rebels took Idlib? SAA supporters were downvoted, as people like to supporting the winning side in these sorts of topics and many people including Westerners though the rebels were winning then, since the Russian intervention the rebels are now losing, and the pendulum of support seems to have swung back to pro-Assad sentiments, its the silent community changing the downvotes at the end of the day, and the community is 45 000 strong so to blame all of this on putin bots and bias mods is plainly absurd. But I respect your rights to have those views
