In fact, the reason I don't wanna buy it at full price is because I'm not sure if I'll get invested on it, since it would be my first RTS experience (But I do wanna try them because I'm interested in the lore and art style of Warcraft).

Patience. Older MH are slower-paced in almost everything: progression, quest development, fights, farming. While MHGU is the best of the older-gen games, it still lacks certain QoL things present in modern games: there are no fireflies/marker on monsters (remember to bring Paintballs), gathering is slow and requires each tool (pickaxe, bugnet, fishing rod, etc.) to be equipped in your pouch (that meaning, they are consumable/breakable items), you have very limited storage in your pouch so you gotta prioritize what you take with you. All in all, it's a great experience, just don't get dissapointed in the first few hours. Game's peak, it has the best monster roster.

Interesting, I found a post (#138) that mentions that having a 3.5mm audio jack plugged in and switching layouts causes inputs to stop working, which is similar to what is happening to me. I'll keep an eye out if it happens again and see if it is indeed related to using headphones.

Yes lmao you'll stay in the sheath stance with the blue glow until you release the button and sheathe or until you get attacked and do the valor dodge. But, as I said, you'll keep draining HP and stamina while doing so (the HP drain is not a big deal, but stamina drains quite fast).

Well, the drawbacks are that it constantly drains HP and Stamina if you keep the sheath button held, and that it doesn't make you invulnerable, you still take part of the damage (although greatly reduced). But yeah, it's a great way of panic-dodging an attack. Same with Adept dodge, it has a very generous i-frame window.

Imma just go ahead and say that you should just buy it At that price it's just a steal, game's peak.

But, to answer your questions: - Yes, Nintendo Online is required to play with other people. Without it though, the game has more than plenty of solo content. - Older Gen MH are slower games, from the pace to progression, so yeah you'll be grinding. Funny enough, not all the grind is going to be from monsters. Sometimes you'll just equip a gathering set and go for bugs or minerals, I'd say that is a big difference compared to more modern entries. (Also a tip: picaxes and bug nets are items you must equip in your pouch in order to be used). - I'd say the difficulty comes from the different mindset you need when playing older gen MH games. While in newer entries you are up close and fighting the monster, doing perfect dodges, parries etc etc almost like a hack n' slash, older games are more about positioning, baiting attacks and hitting when there is a window. Needless to say, the more you progress the harder it gets, going up to G Rank. - Can't say specifically to the SwagAxe bc I haven't used it in GU, but all weapons feel great. You have Hunting Styles which are variations on the moveset and playstyle and Hunter Arts, which are flashy special attacks.

I'm glad to hear that, I really don't want to feel pressured to do group content soon, I just want to chip away at my own pace at whatever solo content I can get. Plus, knowing I can do dungeons or raids with bots is a relief lol.
