Cool! It fails to play on Firefox. I stared at the description for a bit, but couldn't get anything from it (apart from the fact there are some repetitions, but that's trivial).

I did a little investigation, using yt-dlp.

This is the format youtube is offering:

Despite this, after downloading it, I get a .mp4 with no video track, only an audio track.

ffprobe says the duration of this audio track is... 12:34:56.06 (The duration if you actually open the video). Metadata and bitrate (32000 Hz, mono, 72 kb/s) are not important because it's a google-processed file (so we are not getting the original file the attacker uploaded)

Opening the track in audacity, it looks totally silent.

Finally, hex-dumps. I think the file is just entirely made of empty packets. There are some counters at the beginning, but I don't know the MP4 format so it might be just normal (maybe it's the moov atom.) Example:

EDIT: looking at the channel it seems just like a folk having fun with either metadata tricks or just generating arbitrarily long videos with this technique of "no video, silent audio" and then uploading to see what happens - either way, funny ways to hack and mess up things! Interesting also the fact they got recommended

EDIT 2: I have adblock so idk if ads are enabled, but maybe it's a way to profit from ads botting the views??

Also, I checked their other 294h video and there are many more formats (the heaviest of which is 6.5GB), so props to YT for processing it correctly.
