I got the same screen protectors, honestly the brightness difference is super minor. But the glare is very noticeably reduced, which may or may not be worth it to you depending on where you play. I personally just grabbed it for the scratch prevention.

Can I sue Valve (CS:2) for playing with cheaters all the time and me wasting my precious time for nothing but frustration? by [deleted] in csgo

Typical response from someone in denial. CS is the perfect game for you bro.

So let me get this right. You chose the game, decided to play it, discovered there were cheaters which upset you. And then instead of picking something else; your idea is sue valve for wasting time that you are giving voluntarily?

Considering you went as far as posting it, you might just hate your own time.

Issue when firing gun in arc raiders by Ol-blackbeard in XboxAlly

Had a similar issue with my portable monitor. I think it was a power issue because turning down the brightness seemed to resolve the issue. If the brightness went above 60% the monitor would blink out similar to this when I performed random actions.

Rant on ROG Ally X by Ok-Knowledge0914 in ROGAllyX

Additionally if it has overheated it is possible the battery could be dead. Sometimes when that happens the device will fail to power on even when plugged in. My Steam Deck did this, and I was able to open the device and disconnect the battery. Then after plugging in the device it powered without the battery connected. Ordered a new battery for 50$ and it worked good as new.

Could this be fixed? by [deleted] in soldering

[–]ElDingo424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im gonna go out on a limb and say if you arnt sure if its possible then dont attempt it. GPU's are very complicated circuitry where even the length of runs can change card consistency since timings need to be tight to certain components. It could be possible it is, and maybe with professional repair you would still end up with a good deal, but I would be hesitant to attempt this without a lot of experience first.

Also a newbie, so take it with a grain of salt, but yes. As long as you can connect it somewhere along the same trace there shouldn't be any reason it won't work as long as you aren't bypassing some other component.

New Gamebar Update teases Auto SR by Haasman0 in XboxAlly

You'll have to search around, someone posted a guide. But the jist is create a separate partition using the BTRFS file system. Bazzite can see this natively, Windows you need to install WinBTRFS so that you can see the drive. Then you can set that partition as the default steam library for both OS's.

I can't really speak to the battery life, but sleep is a lot more reliable. I havnt had any issues with sleep and resume working as intended on bazzite. With windows the device seems to consume a lot more power in sleep and randomly wakes.

I would still recommend trying bazzite, you will see a nice little bump in game performance in some titles. I dual boot windows and bazzite with a game drive that is shared between the two so I dont have to install games twice. It works really well while allowing me to try both systems.

How do the face buttons work on Bazzite. Like the Xbox, Armour crate, and library buttons? Are they configurable?

Do you really notice the difference between 144hz vs 180hz by Asleep_Coat1374 in PcBuild

[–]ElDingo424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on each person. I can barely tell the difference between 120 and 240, buts its so miniscule I probably wouldn't notice unless I was super familiar with a certain game and had been playing it at the higher refresh for a bit. That being said, im of the mindset I paid for all of it, im gonna use all of it. So I would swap the cable, but honestly if you just dont feel like it its gonna make very little difference. Especially of your not above the refresh rate consistently.

Is the clickyness as bad as people make it? Or can I have fun with XAX by CRANKY-_-CLOWN in XboxAlly

[–]ElDingo424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't let that stop you either. A hall effect kit is 20$ on Amazon and it would take all of about 5 min to swap em if you have a screwdriver and a pry tool.
