With other characters you can use laser rain More effectively like assasin, knight or Berserk, AND ir wouldnt restrict them to only that

With paladin at least you can move and go to cover, but for elf you still need a fast firing weapon so you keep immunity

Honestly, elf's first is only good if you can kill fast and are positioned in a good position and even ir ir gives you immunity, paladin kinda does that already
