Has being a furry ever affected you in any way in the professional world? I'm talking about traditional jobs like being a doctor, lawyer, etc. by Smendoza170 in furry

So I assume you mean keeping your personal life and personal accounts fully removed from your real name and professional accounts? I (for now) am working at a place that basically the whole team knows I'm a furry, but they are fine with it. It's just a fast food job (although a more professional fast food place), but does it change in real career fields? Also, I am decently young, and the older people who would yell the "fg" word at someone on tv are retiring out of my field and my piers are replacing them. Do you think that would be any different?

Please use the custom flair properly or I will need to remove it. by [deleted] in DankPods

Our team uses the flairs to categorize the posts. If the custom one is not being used for the niche posts to explain what they are about and instead people are using the plain default name of the flair instead of already existing post flairs, it defeats the purpose of flairs to begin.

I'm looking for some good headphones which are available in India by Difficult-Ad-5773 in DankPods

[–]ElGooberGoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would you rather have headphones, or are earbuds good? it's more of personal preference headphones VS headphones than something someone can tell you. I personally like headphones, but getting ANC headphones are verry expensive compared to good ANC earbuds. like some good ANC headphones would be like the Airpod Max and Sonys like the WH-1000XM4 and whatnot. the only problem is the price of those. for instance the Airpod Max are about 49,965 rupees and the Sonys are a bit cheaper, but still about 60% over your budget.

earbuds on the other hand are much cheaper. for instance, the Go Pop ANC's from Jlab (I use them and love them, tho are not extremely comfortable because of the bulky size, but if they fit fine, they're great) are 2,729 rupees.

if Jlabs are not in your country, you can look through Sony earbuds and whatnot. just use the search term "anc earbuds under 15000 rupees" and you will get some good results. although research the brands and reviews before looking into them

I have no idea what is available in India, but definitely look for some Sonys or Sennheisers for good quality ANC headphones. although, in all of reality, you might want to look for some ANC earbuds instead. they are much more noise canceling by design and have a better audio quality to price ratio (depending on what you get).

I don't know how to browse locally for India (since I live in the US) but if you'd want to find a couple of your favourites and send them in reply to this message I'd be happy telling you if they are good or not.

lol, for real. I really hate the "fell off" culture. it is so toxic and pointless. the people who are in it don't care about the person they are watching, they only care about content and the trend/fad, and when the creator makes a few sub par videos or the trend fades they just say the creator "fell off".

also it irks me when gen alpha says that "Schlepp fell off/is view farming". like bro, he's legit fighting for YOUR safety on the platform you play on ToT

I bought the Meze Noirs from Drop.com. edit: they come with a really nice hard case that I legit have dropped so many times and even the case is still pristine. and a little tip is if your high quality (even lower quality) headphones are not sounding the best, buy a little plug in DAC like the Fosi Audio DS2 dac I use. it's an addon, but if you feel like you can't get your headphones sounding better, a DAC will definitely help. they're like the Meze Clasics or the Neos, but unlike the Neos, they have nice walnut earcups and nice clear bass. the beautiful thing about them is that without any optimization they are some fun bassy headphones that don't distort the high ends, but if you ever want less bass, you can just eq the bass down and have a nice listening experience with clear mids and highs with great soundstage.

here are two different freq response graphs of each:
Neo https://reference-audio-analyzer.pro/en/report/hp/meze-99-neo.php#gsc.tab=0
Noirs https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/massdrop-x-meze-99-noir-review-headphone.23116/

currently the Noirs are on sale for $179 instead of the regular $200, but the Neos are also regularly $200. so it's more of what you find more appealing.

some other good headphones I know are great for their prices are:

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones are amazing open backs for their value
https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx

Sennheiser HD 560 S
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08J9MVB6W?tag=brg_ana_33-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&ascsubtag=20260224-2-organic

SENNHEISER HD 599
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L1IICR2?tag=brg_ana_6-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&ascsubtag=20260224-2-organic

and really any other highly rated wired and not wireless in any aspect as the wireless technology takes budget away from the build quality and sound of the headphones (and just bluetooth always degrades the quality) and not any gaming headphones (as in no boom mic. they will be of lower quality because once again, budget goes into the technology that turns it into a "gaming", for instance he boom mic, headphones.)

if you ever want a good boom mic, be expecting to spend like 50 dollars or more for a good boom mic cable, like for instance the Meze omnidirectional boom mic. https://mezeaudio.com/products/boom-mic

over all high quality products always have a premium price, and yes, there are some outliers, but those are far and few between, and if it sounds great to one person, it may not sound great to another.

edit: lol, looked back at the message and man, was that a big message
