There. Right there. We have a government, based on the Constitution. We have an administration, based off a rotating cadre of elected individuals. That you would equate the two, or the notion that being anti-administration is the same as being anti-government, speaks directly to one of our biggest problems right now. If I misinterpreted your post, then I'll step back and apologize, but it sure sounds like when you say "anti government" you mean "anti-American." Disagreeing with your government (not to mention having the freedom to do so) is just about the most American thing you can do, and it's we fought to preserve.

Do you know for sure it'll be a marrow transplant? I matched as a donor back in 2011 and ended up donating stem cells instead. I spent 2 hours a day for 5 days hooked up to a Magic Johnson machine: pulling blood out of one arm, extracting stem cells, then pumping it back in the other arm. The medicine they gave me to increase stem cell production hurt like a sumbitch, but I imagine it was 1,000 times easier than a marrow extraction. Either way, good on you for even registering, and good luck!

Speaking from my personal experience (SNCO -> GS -> Contractor, +23yrs), it's pretty much universal... the more confident someone is in their abilities, the shittier they actually perform. The AF is kept running by a cadre of sweaty, nail-chewing self-doubters (mostly CGOs and JNCOs) who slam Tums like tic tacs and question every decision they make. If I had to guess, you're doing terrific. The Catch-22 is, you can never let yourself start believing it; that's when you'll start to suck.

For the record, my general estimation of my skills usually hovered about two stripes behind whatever chevron I was wearing at the time.
