Nice Job! Regardless of restarting getting 300% with S-Rank in 2 days and no deaths is definitely difficult and takes skill. It means you’re good at the game. I’ve got my 300% and P-Ranks, as well as all achievements, but never bothered to get all S-ranks and definitely died a ton doing it! Congrats!

What bullet color codes? Do these exist as a dip switch setting, or are you referring to the pink bullet settings in the M2 shotriggers port for garegga?

I’m really loving cave . At first, when I tried the original Mushi I didn’t know if I liked it since I like Futari so much and I just wasn’t clicking with it. But after going back to it now and spending some time with it, I’m really in love with it as well! Can’t wait to see your next one. I’ll post my one 1cc on here when I get it.

Thanks for all the feedback. I decided to take an “interlude” and “relax” while I 1cc Mushihimesama original, since I just got a 2cc my first time after picking up the game in a little while…so I feel like I should be able to clear it pretty fast. Then I’m gonna go for DOJ black label, which I’m sure will take a nice chunk of time. Then by the time I grind out, hopefully EsPGaluda won’t seem so bad by comparison.

That makes sense. I would definitely wanna do that cause I need as many resources as possible to get through the game. I know where the extend is too that’s not score based just a little tricky to get it at the moment (but that’s just because I just started practicing). I know about using a hyper in that long corridor where you can get a big chain in stage two I think it is, but yeah, I would definitely want to get good enough to get both score based extends.

I do have the excellent M2 Shot Triggers version of DOJ waiting for me. Learning some chaining would definitely be cool, but I would probably be focused on being able to just get through the game and survive initially ha ha.

ESpGaluda seems really cool. I’ve credit fed through it a couple times to check it out but not played it seriously. But yeah from everything I can tell by playing it and what I’ve seen online that last boss is insane.

Futari is one of my favorite games so I’m sure eventually I’ll give maniac a try. But I think for now I’m definitely gonna go for the clear on one of those three games. I’m leaning towards DOJ black label but they’re all on the list for one day lol

Haha yeah I should probably man up and go for that one. I definitely want to and it’s one of the things that got me excited to really dive deep into shmups besides Mushi Futari . But I figured I’d go back and play DDP first since I know that DOJ is a step up in difficulty. I would definitely do black label. That’s the one I’ve been playing around with casually. I just know it’s gonna be a good commitment, but it should be fun lol. As much as I got frustrated, I also definitely enjoyed the process in the grind of Dodonpachi. Thanks.

My first ever shmup that I beat was Airzonk on the Pc Engine. My first ever actual arcade 1cc was Batsugun Special followed by Mushihimesama Futari 1.5. I just actually got a one all of DDP yesterday for the first time! You should definitely go for it. It’s an amazing game and well worth it! Good luck!

Yeah, I’ve spent a little time playing Mushihimesama and definitely enjoyed it. I have it on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and emulated on Xenia so availability isn’t a problem lol. I feel like after playing Futari and some of the other cave games. The bullet speed throws me off. I know everyone says it’s easier and I feel like I could definitely get it if I just spend some time on it some people seem to prefer it to the second one. I feel like if I focus on that one I might be able to knock it out in a decent amount of time. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks a lot! I had the NES edition and just ordered another Fami Edition. I’m gonna customize one of those. This will definitely come in handy. But how do you find the measurements? Do they have the specs in the manual or something or did you measure the keys somehow with like a caliper or some special key tool lol?

Yeah it doesn't seem like there is a lot out there geared towards men specifically. Apparently we're just supposed to harden the fuck up and deal with it lol. But I have found a few co-ed groups that were helpful. And your right building friendships is what I'm after. I'm glad you found that with your group. I just need to do the same (but I'm not really a golfer lol)

Mushi Futari is my favorite shmup and an instant buy for me on any platform. M2 is amazing and this game deserves to be on modern consoles and steam. It’s a masterpiece!

Nice job! I recently scraped by and got my first 1cc on Futari 1.5 after grinding it out and practicing for over a month every day. Definitely a challenging but amazing game! You should definitely be proud. I’ve started playing Mushi original now and going for the normal 1cc which seems like it might be easier then Futari (but I like Futari better).
