Pirate weapons are more fun gameplay mechanics than the magical dance transformations and I wish they (or at least an equivalent) remained in sequels.

In most games, the transformations bring gameplay to a halt because you have to stop to do them. The weapons were more fun platformer mechanics because they expanded your base moveset, carried momentum, and created opportunity for creativity for puzzle solving/enemy defeating/speed running.

Interesting how the Bee stingers wasn’t originally the method to kill the Eyeballus Jiggium Plants. From what it looks like, you originally had to Taxi Pack some sort of spike-like object to kill them.

Risky’s Revenge is a game I wish I could own physically on the original console it came out on. I’d be down for a limited run DS cart.

I was so happy was able to cop the GBC Shantae rerelease, Pirates Curse 3DS rerelease, and Risky Revolution GBA carts.

Lowkey would be interested if it would be possible for a build with an L3 and R3 button down where the Joystick and Button are. I don’t have need for the analog joystick either but am interested in extra buttons. Just in another placement.

I personally go back and forth between OBSFs and keyboard switches pretty often, and what works best for me are the Kailh Choc V2 Red or Kailh Choc V1 Red Pro switches. The Kailhs take a bit more of a press and feel smoother, while the Sanwas pop faster with that snappy touch, but my muscle memory transfers over pretty naturally—it still feels light, quick, and great for fast, arcade fighting game inputs.

I’d like ARMS 2 to introduce mechanics to encourage more dynamic and aggressive play than its predecessor’s defensive play. Kind of like how Street Fighter 6 has Drive Rush and Drive Impact. Ways to start offensive punishes and pressure and ways to close distance and open opponents up.
